    Women's 1500m

GB's bronze medallist Georgia Bell speaking to BBC One: “I am in a very good mood. I don't know if I've ever been this happy. That was an absolutely crazy race.

“I woke up really calm and in a good mood and I just thought ‘I’m not the fastest person in that race' but I thought I was brave and got stuck in and could make something special happen. Yeah I'm over the moon, an Olympic medallist.

“I know when I saw them come through 59/60 I was like ‘ooo’ but I knew it was gonna be painful and I just thought I know I can finish strong. So I knew as long as I didn’t let a gap go and I was there with 100m to go I thought I'd be able to do it.

“I just had to dig deep in the middle and I didn't realise how fast it was until we crossed the line. I kind of just zoned out after that first lap and just tried to sit in the train and not overthink it.”

Just in front of me, Georgia Bell has just stepped up to receive her Olympic medal as the final prizes are handed out before the Stade de France transforms for the closing ceremony tomorrow night.

So many people have stayed behind to watch. I know it's easy to get carried away when you're in the middle of it all, but the atmosphere here has honestly been incredible for every single session.

The support the athletes have had has driven them on to some quite stunning performances and many from Team GB have remarked how at times it has felt like a home Games for them.

Bell cannot stop smiling, and rightly so, as she poses for pictures alongside the great Faith Kipyegon. What a moment.

'It feels like a bit of a heartbreak'published at 21:20 British Summer Time 10 August

    Taekwondo - women's +67kg

Rebecca McGowan on whether there was a turning point in the second round when she didn’t have the review card left: “Yeah I mean, with taekwondo the littlest things like that make the match.

“It is gutting and it feels like a bit of a heartbreak right now but yeah it was a turning point but it is the sport and life I chose. It’s something I've just gotta deal with and try to pick myself up from.”

On coming through the repechage: “I think I was still resetting walking out that tunnel to be honest. I have never felt anything like it. My heart is broken twice tonight but yeah I'm really proud of myself being able to pick myself up and fight how I did.”

A historic Games for GB on the trackpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 10 August

    Athletics

This is the highest athletics medal count for Team GB at an Olympics since 1984.

Great Britain have 10 athletics medals - with just the women's marathon to come tomorrow morning - which is second only to the 16 won in Los Angeles.

That was the Games of golds for Sebastian Coe, Daley Thompson and Tessa Sanderson. It was also a Games which the USSR boycotted amid tensions with the USA.

Among the most notable achievements at Paris 2024 has been GB winning a medal in every athletics relay race - something never achieved by Britain before at an Olympics.

Team GB medics help save Uzbek coach's lifepublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 10 August

Two members of Team GB's medical team have helped save the life of the Uzbekistan Olympic boxing team's head coach.

Tulkin Kilichev was celebrating a gold medal for Uzbek boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov in the warm-up area at Roland Garros in Paris on 8 August when he went into cardiac arrest.

Team GB physiotherapist Robbie Lillis, who was in the arena at the time, said there was "a cry for a doctor" prompting him and colleague Dr Harj Singh to rush over to perform CPR and use a defibrillator.

Mr Kilochev is understood to be in a stable condition in hospital.Read the full story here.

    Basketball - France 41-49 United States - men's gold-medal match

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Bercy Arena

Ahhh, just like that the Americans stick on the hose and extinguish French hope.

They quickly retake the lead and open up a six-point gap at 37-31 when LeBron James tramples over French defenders like a monster truck going over cones.

That's the cue for France's Guerschon Yabusele to make things physical.

After a bit of needle with Kevin Durant, power forward Yabusele reduces the deficit when the old man James can't screen him.

But a trademark three from Steph Curry gets the Americans rolling again, with another from Jrue Holiday putting them eight points ahead at half-time.

    And breathe!

Good fun at the taekwondo, where Ivory Coast's Cheick Sallah Cisse earlier won bronze.

Cisse - who lost to GB's Caden Cunningham in the semi-finals - threw off his helmet to celebrate what he thought was the clock going, until the ref pointed out there was still 0.1secs left.

He then popped his helmet back on, had a semi-awkward push of his opponent, and then went tearing off around the arena in celebration.

Someone threw an Ivory Coast flag down to him, but he either pulled a muscle or got cramp and hobbled around the arena celebrating with it. Superb.

He pulls out the trademark backflip before stepping out out the ring with the Uzbekistan flag draped over his shoulders.

At just 24, he's one worth keeping an eye on over the next few years.

Abdumalik Khalokov has a hint of the Ben Whittaker about him - Team GB's Tokyo 2020 silver medallist. He loves a showboat.

Munarbek Seiitbek Uulu is now boxing angry and that's the worst way to approach a fighter like Khalokov.

Uulu is just being picked off when he throws wildly.

This fight is only going one way. Uulu looks hugely frustrated as the bell rings. He just couldn't work out how to deal with Khalokov's extravagant style.
