Guernsey RFC: Jordan Reynolds sets back-to-back wins challenge

Guernsey head coach Jordan Reynolds has challenged his side to register back-to-back wins for the first time this season as they try to avoid relegation.

The island side won at fifth-placed Hertford on Saturday to move off the bottom of National Three London.

"We've got to put a string of games together now and see if we can get results," he told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"The guys seem to have the right frame of mind and hopefully we'll continue with that this week."

Guernsey have been dogged by a series of injuries this season, as well as having points docked for their win over Amersham and Chilton after playing a banned player.

The Green and Whites host Amersham at Footes Lane this week as they look to close the gap on their opponents, who are two places and six points ahead of them.

"There's a lot of ill-feeling against Amersham from where we lost those five points, so it's good motivation," said Reynolds.

"We've got to keep raising that bar each week now. It's consistency that we need."

The game is the first of a series for Guernsey against their relegation rivals, as they face Westcliff, CS Rugby 1863 and Tring before the end of next month.

Guernsey have spent the past three seasons in National Three London, having won back-to-back promotions in 2011 and 2012.
