Redruth boss Marek Churcher has praised his side's second-half performance after they crushed Cinderford 54-11 to stay third in National Two South.

After scoring two tries in the first half the Reds leading 15-6 at the break, and Churcher's side ran riot in the second period, scoring seven more.

Alex Ducker got a hat-trick as the Reds recorded their seventh win in eight matches so far this season.

"The second half was outstanding," Churcher told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We got a bit overconfident in the first half, thinking we could do things and create things individually rather than as a team.

"We'd put Cinderford under pressure, but then we'd try the odd silly thing like a little kick or someone going down the blindside."
