So it wasn't to be for Huw Jones, although he was the dummy runner in midfield that opened up the space for Tommy Freeman to score.

  6. Still a lack of synergypublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 2 July

    Queensland Reds 7-7 Lions

    Chris Jones
    BBC rugby union correspondent

Just like in the first two games, there is plenty of intent from the Lions with the ball in hand.

But also like in the first two games, they are being let down a little by some scruffy handling and slight lack of synergy, which is still to be expected.

It was much better for the Freeman try, which should give the whole team confidence.

Duhan van der Merwe looks in big trouble on his own tryline.

However, it is Van der Merwe. The massive Scotland wing charges out and finds Jamison Gibson-Park.

    All a bit mad...

Set piece is a small concern early on. The first line-out was stolen and first scrum penalised which ultimately led to the first try!

A much stiffer test compared to last week but needed for the Lions.

Jac Morgan wins a brilliant turnover. Half a sniff and he is over it. That is why he was brought on tour.

Tommy Freeman then powers his way forward but Elliot Daly butchers the chance.

He tried a switch and dropped it on the ground.

Nostradamus I’m not, but I did say watch out for Toomaga-Allen.
