The injury to Tomos Williams saw scrum-half Ben White called in from New Zealand, where he was touring with Scotland.

Scotland full-back Blair Kinghorn also joined up with the squad after winning the Top 14 with Toulouse.

Both are not involved against Queensland Reds but will be itching to stake a Test spot.

The British and Irish Lions cruised to an eight-try 54-7 victory against Western Force in the first game of their tour on Australian soil last Saturday.

Elliot Daly put his hand up at full-back with a silky display to show his class, while captain Dan Sheehan further pushed forward his case to be the starting hooker.

Big Joe McCarthy showed his power and picked up the player-of-the-match award, with Henry Pollock adding more eye-catching breaks to his highlight reel.

The Lions did lose Tomos Williams, who was impressing, to a hamstring injury that later ruled the scrum-half out of the tour.

That shows just how quickly things can change on Lions tours.

Head coach Andy Farrell has made 13 changes to his starting line-up, with fly-half Finn Russell and full-back Elliot Daly the only players to keep their places from the win in Perth.

Maro Itoje returns to captain the Lions after sitting out the match against Western Force.

Jamison Gibson-Park makes his first appearance on tour at scrum-half.

British and Irish Lions: Daly; Freeman, Jones, Aki, Van der Merwe; Russell, Gibson-Park; Porter, Kelleher, Stuart, Itoje (capt), Chessum, Curry, Morgan, Conan.

Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Genge, Bealham, Ryan, Earl, Mitchell, F Smith, Ringrose.

Another big performance and Elliot Daly could well have the Test 15 shirt, who saw that one coming?

It will be interesting what happens on Saturday as Scotland full-back Blair Kinghorn has only just arrived and needs a game.

Andy Farrell says Hugo Keenan has a "bug" but it is nothing serious.

Having recovered from injury, Hugo Keenan has had to withdraw from the British and Irish Lions team to play the Queensland Reds.

The full-back is ill and is replaced by Elliot Daly.

It's a massive blow for the Irishman who is still yet to play on the tour.

Personally, I don't think it gets much better than a midweek Lions game.

Strap in as we have plenty of talking points to get stuck into before the Lions play Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The Lions got back on track in Perth with a big win over Western Force.

Hands went up for Test spots, with more of that to come.
