They've set it well, they just spun off the front, South Africa.

There's just too many South African bodies.

It's (yellow card) gone against Aaron Wainwright, he is on the side. Fifteen minutes in, two yellow cards, Wales are down to 13.

    South Africa 7-3 Wales

Wales have done realy well there to hold out the South Africa scrum who must have fancied a crack at a pushover.

Taine Plumtree does well at the breakdown as South Africa look to go wide.

  7. Sin-bin: Rio Dyer (Wales)published at 12 mins

    South Africa 7-3 Wales

Dyer was penalised for being offside as he got back to his feet and played the ball.

It was one of those fouls where you take one for the team to save a try.. but Wales are down to 14 and the Springboks have an attacking scrum five metres out.

    Perfect attacking position.

  9. Postpublished at 10 mins

Oooh... but the first lineout and Malcolm Marx completely overthrows and Wales regather.

Perhaps a sign of rustiness on his return to Test rugby.

    South Africa 7-3 Wales

First scrum and it's a penalty to South Africa. Ox Nche doing a job on Keiron Assiratti. Could be a long day for the Welsh front row.

This try all comes from a poor defensive read from Mason Grady in that wide channel.

He bites in on that short decoy runner and they just play straight out from the back.

  13. Postpublished at 6 mins

    South Africa 7-0 Wales

Yes Derwyn, it was a worry how quickly the Welsh defence lost its shape after just two phases from the drop out.

    They have to tighten up.

    Derwyn Jones
Former Wales lock on BBC Radio Cymru

It was a simple move. The passing was straight.

Maybe Wales lost their defensive shape there, Costelow and Dewi Lake.

I don't quite know what happened to the structure of the Welsh defence there. It was a bit all over the place.

  15. Convertred try: South Africa 7-0 Walespublished at 4 mins

    Jesse Kriel try, Hendrikse con

I think you may be right Richie because South Africa have crossed the Welsh line inside four minutes!

It was a simple move along the line and suddenly attackers outnumbered defenders.

Kriel exchanged passes with Mapimpi and he was over... way to easy!

Hendrikse get's his first Test points with the conversion.

I can't see Wales winning this match. If I was a betting man I wouldn't bother wasting my money.

But it's a huge opportunity for some of these Welsh players.

You look at the likes of Taine Plumtree, James Botham, Ellis Bevan Mason Grady, they've got to now put their hands up.

They're playing against what is the world number one team.

Put your hand up and say 'I can represent Wales for the next eight, nine or 10 years'.

  17. Missed penaltypublished at 2 mins

List of world rankingsImage source, BBC Sport

Wales could climb from their equal lowest position in the world rankings with victory today against the number one side.

A draw or victory would see them overtake ninth-placed Australia - who they face next.

And should something truly remarkable happen today and they win by more than 15 points, they would even jump two places above Italy into eighth.

They will not slip further in the rankings with defeat because South Africa are ranked so high.
