It looks like James Lowe's back has gone. He would be a huge loss if he can't play. He has been superb for Ireland.

A lot of what Ireland do is through their wingers.so to be without Hansen and Lowe would be massive,

Ireland's warm-up still going on without James Lowe.

As the backline went through their moves, Calvin Nash was on the right wing with Jamie Osborne switched to the left.

Would be a huge blow for Ireland to lose the in-form Lowe who has been having a strong Six Nations.

It's the end of an era today as Peter O'Mahony, Cian Healy and Conor Murray line out for Ireland in Dublin for the final time.

All three will retire from Ireland duty at the end of the Six Nations, it will be strange to see an Ireland squad without them.

They've been integral and have five Six Nations, four Triple Crowns and two Grand Slams to their names.

However, as all three said during the week, there are still two very important matches to come as they chase more silverware.

There has, of course, been plenty said about Ireland's retiring trio of centurions with Peter O'Mahony, Conor Murray and Cian Healy all playing the final Dublin Test match of their storied careers.

It's a red-letter day for another trio, too.

Finlay Bealham, skipper Caelan Doris and Jack Conan will all win their 50th caps with the latter set to become the 60th Irish player to hit the mark when he is introduced from the bench.

It's the three half centurions who are centre stage on today's match programme.

There's some concerning news from the warm-up as Ireland wing James Lowe looks to have injured himself ahead of kick-off.

He was helped down the tunnel. There's no word if he's been withdrawn from the team, but we'll keep you posted.

    Ireland v France (14:15 GMT)

There are fascinating duels right across the pitch today - but this might be the one to watch.

Antoine Dupont and Jamison Gibson-Park are two of the best nines in the world, but how do they stack up against each other?

"Yeah, it will be interesting," said Ireland interim head coach Simon Easterby.

"Two fabulous players at the peak of their game. There are a number of individual battles across the teams, but that one will be pretty special."

Antoine Dupont, known as 'the martian' by his team-mates, is one of the best players in the world and his class is evident.

While Jamison Gibson-Park may be more understated, his role is crucial as he guides young fly-half Sam Prendergast, and to a lesser extent Jack Crowley, through the game.

This will not be the first time Gibson-Park and Dupont have crossed paths, of course. They have twice met in the Champions Cup, including last year's final when Dupont's Toulouse beat Gibson-Park's Leinster in extra time.

They have met three times in the Six Nations, although not since 2022 (Gibson-Park was injured in 2023 while Dupont skipped last year's championship).

This time, the stakes are suitably sky-high.

Ireland prop Finlay Bealham says it does not "feel real" that he will win his 50th Test cap this afternoon.

The Connacht tight-head will start the game in the continued absence of Tadhg Furlong and becomes the 58th Irish player to earn a half century of caps.

Skipper Caelan Doris and, should he come off the bench, Jack Conan will also hit the milestone against Les Bleus.

"It would be an incredible honour for me," said Bealham.

"I've been in the group for a while now and seen the calibre of players that have got 50 caps in.

"I suppose to reach that milestone myself, it doesn't really feel real, but it's something I'll obviously be really proud of."

Joe McCarthy is action against FranceImage source, Inpho

Ireland lock Joe McCarthy says taking on France brings a "big game feeling" as the pair prepare for their latest Six Nations meeting.

The sides have finished in the top two spots of the table in each of the past three seasons and are once again vying for the title this year as they meet in round four at the Aviva Stadium this weekend.

Ireland were crowned champions the past two years with France the winners in 2022.

"Every week in the Six Nations is massive but this one, some games feel extra special," McCarthy said.

"France, how well they've been going, how strong on the side they are, there's that bit of extra big game feeling about this.

"We've looked a lot at France's strengths because I feel like you really have to respect them as a team.

"They have a lot of threats across the board so you really have to get all over that."

  16. Harsher bans needed to stop dangerous tackles - Warburtonpublished at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Ireland v France (14:15 GMT)

Two weeks ago, there was a lot of discussion about Garry Ringrose's 20-minute red card against Wales in Cardiff.

Former Wales captain Sam Warburton says "harsher" bans are needed to stop dangerous tackles after Ringrose received a three-match ban, which will be reduced to two if he completes tackle school.
