I didn't expect Kyren to miss that one.
Wilson 7-0 Jones
Jak Jones tries to be positive at the start of frame eight, going for a long red but it goes wrong.
At first glance the table looks safe but Kyren Wilson doubles a red in - only to miss a much easier one a minute or so later.

It's starting to look like Jak's decision not to come into the practice room at the interval might be coming back to haunt him.
I was so shocked he didn't come in here in the interval, just to hit a few balls, to get that touch in the arm.

Hello, I've got a question for the snooker analysts: I saw Jak in his dressing room at the interval with what looked like a can of energy drink... is this common? Seems to me like it might be a bad choice for a sport needing you to be patient and calm-headed!

No third ton for Kyren Wilson as he misses a green on 90 but all he'll care about is the seven-frame advantage he has earned himself.

Back-to-back centuries for the 'Warrior'? Half a chance with the frame in the bag and the break into the 80s...

Kyren Wilson would have been very confident coming into today's final.
But I don't think even he would have dreamed of this start. He's had virtually no resistance from his opponent.
For the first time in this championship, the occasion has got to Jak Jones.

I don't want to come across as Mr Picky Pants but Kate's snooker snack dispenser (15:14) is missing a red, a black and the pink is miles out of position. Other than that, it's pretty ace.

Jak will be sat in his chair fearing the worst again, looking at this table.
Wilson 6-0 Jones
Big shot coming up for Kyren Wilson, cannoning into the pack of reds off the black - and he's on one.
Great chance for 7-0.

When it rains, it pours.
Jak Jones leaves a red over the pocket but it's covered by other balls.
Kyren Wilson comes off the cushion to pot it and trusts to luck with his position - and lands absolutely plum on the black.

Gee: Bill Werbenuik used to drink a pint per frame and never went to the loo as often as these weak bladdered players do.
Wilson 6-0 Jones
Jak Jones allows himself a wry smile after fluking a red.
But, in keeping with the match so far, he cannot capitalise on it, quickly running out of position.

I feel terribly sorry for Jak Jones at the moment. He looks bereft of confidence and is cutting a very lonely figure out there.
It does become embarrassing - he's been expecting so much. It's a bit like the rabbit on the headlights situation.
He's suffering out there - if he can just get one frame out of this session, at least he can derive something from it but at the moment he's like a lost sheep.

Steven Smith: I don't think Jak Jones is playing any worse than yesterday. As I said then, I agree with Stephen Hendry - he's good at mopping up others' mistakes. Today he has far fewer mistakes to mop up.

Kyren Wilson will be feeling wonderful. This is how to destroy your opponent.
You get given the chances and you are relentless. If he can maintain this to go 8-0 he's done the most superb job you could possibly do.
Wilson 6-0 Jones
That was not an easy table to make a century on but Kyren Wilson is flying, potting balls along the cushion like they were over the pocket with every little cannon going just perfectly.
Wilson 5-0 Jones
He's not getting that frame here, though, Steve.
Kyren Wilson has clinically disposed of these reds in businesslike manner and he'll be targeting a second century of the match to add to the one he made in the opening frame.
