  4. Darderi and Alcaraz holdpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time

    *Darderi 2-5 Alcaraz

Solid play from Luciano Darderi as he repeatedly slugs the ball during a 21-shot rally before Carlos Alcaraz nets.

Alcaraz responds with his own hold to love, including a breathe-taking forehand winner into the far corner that drew gasps from the crowd.

I once had the privilege of training with Steffi Graf and she did all of her training with blokes - everything was coming at her so fast, hard and flat.

I don't know how much Raducanu trains with men, but when you see her not coping with the pace of a shot, it makes me think that all of her training has to be done with power players.

  6. Rybakina third break pointpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time

    Rybakina 6-1 4-2 Raducanu*

A rapid return from Rybakina takes us back to deuce and then sends Raducanu on the move across the baseline to earn a third break point in this game.

Raducanu saves both break points then works her way to game point and receives a big cheer of encouragement from the crowd.

They don't want this to be over just yet. The importance of those two break points can not be overstated. But Raducanu has to hold here.

  8. Rybakina break pointspublished at 17:06 British Summer Time

    Rybakina 6-1 4-2 Raducanu*

Rybakina brings up two break points on the Raducanu serve.

This could be over pretty soon if the Brit isn't careful.

  9. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time

    Rybakina 6-1 4-2 Raducanu*

Rybakina is hitting her first serve at just 46%.

That's pretty surprising given how dominant she has been here and Raducanu has not been able to take advantage of the second serves.

  10. Darderi and Alcaraz holdpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time

    *Darderi 1-4 Alcaraz

Luciano Darderi holds serve to get himself on the board - he produced a brutal forehand winner that had Carlos Alcaraz scrambling across the baseline in desperation.

On why Rybakina's first serve percentage is low...

She doesn't hold back on it, does she? But it is surprising how many she is missing. Sometimes that can be pressure from the opponent, but it feels like she is falling away from it with the racquet head and it looks a little bit out of alignment.

But it is still a huge serve, and even on the second serve she is dominating so much.

    Rybakina 6-1 4-2 Raducanu*

Just when Raducanu thinks she might be getting somewhere on the Rybakina serve the ninth seed produces a huge serve to get back on track.

Another hold on the board and Rybakina is two games from the fourth round.

"Change something" is the message from Francisco Roig to Raducanu.

What that something is, who knows?

  15. Raducanu holdspublished at 16:58 British Summer Time

    *Rybakina 6-1 3-2 Raducanu

Nicely done by Raducanu to hold under pressure.

Rybakina pushed her a little there as she probed for that double break but the Brit held firm.

She has to make inroads on the Rybakina serve here to stand a chance you would think.

    *Darderi 0-3 Alcaraz

Luciano Darderi gifts Carlos Alcaraz break point with back-to-back double faults. He survives, before Alcaraz hits a winner on his second break point.

  17. Cash and Glasspool lose first-set tie-breakpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time

    *Cash/Glasspool 6-7 (6-8) 0-0 Erler/Galloway

No surprise that the opening set in this one went all the way - only eight points went against the server in the 12 games that led to the tie-break.

Alexander Erler and Robert Galloway win the breaker 8-6, leaving British top seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool with work to do.

Better news elsewhere for another Briton as Luke Johnson and his Dutch partner Sander Arends - the 13th seeds - are a set up against Fabian Marozsan and Mattia Bellucci on Court 13.

  18. Rybakina holds to lovepublished at 16:55 British Summer Time

    Rybakina 6-1 3-1 Raducanu*

Another service game notched off by Rybakina.

The usually lively Louis Armstrong crowd seem pretty subdued. They would've liked this to go on a bit longer but it's looking less and less likely this will go the distance.

A couple of nice forehand winners give Raducanu a much-needed hold to love.

She still trails by a set and a break but maybe that will give her a bit of a confidence boost.

Raducanu takes a big breath as she moves to 30-0 on serve.

She does not want a repeat of her last service game. She has to see this one off.
