    Raducanu has had to hit a lot of second serves here and Rybakina pounces on another one to bring up a break point.

    Raducanu has been left stranded in the first set, it doesn't feel like there is a lot she can do.

    But things can change rapidly - you just have to have a few unforced errors or get stuck into some early games in the second set and the whole psychology of the match can change quickly.

    It is not the first time we have seen Raducanu totally overpowered by a top player.

    Luciano Darderi is going to be up against it today - Carlos Alcaraz is yet to drop a service game at this year's US Open, and has won 86% of his first service points.

    However, Darderi has served up 23 aces - compared to Alcaraz's 11 - and has won 78% of his break points, while Alcaraz has won just 35%.

    Can the Italian cause a major upset?

    Really tough going for Raducanu against a player simply in absolutely scintillating form.

    I've noticed that a lot of Raducanu's returns have been in towards the body of Rybakina, she is not trying to get her on the move.

    Perhaps this is deliberate, but maybe she will try something different in the second set.

    Rybakina couldn't look like she is playing any better than she is right now. She is timing the ball so sweetly and is going after her groundstrokes into the corners. She takes control from the moment the rally starts.
