It's been four years since Emma Raducanu shocked the world and won the US Open as a qualifier, and so far this tournament she has looked back to her best.

Back-to-back straight-set victories have taken her through to the third round, but now comes her first real test.

The Brit is facing former Wimbledon champion and ninth seed Elena Rybakina, with the Kazakh having won their only previous meeting back in 2022.

Raducanu says she is feeling positive: "I'm happy - I think I'm embracing the pressure and expectation a lot more now.

"It's a good sign that people think I'm playing better and doing better and can win matches. I'm all round pretty positive."

Before we get into some Emma Raducanu build-up, let's recap what happened last night while we were all tucked up in bed. Well, I definitely was.

Briton Jacob Fearnley went out to German third seed Alexander Zverev, external on a noisy Louis Armstrong Stadium.

A tearful Coco Gauff thanked superstar gymnast Simone Biles for bringing a "bit of calm" as she found a way to beat Croatia's Donna Vekic.

And world number one Jannik Sinner says there is still room for improvement despite recording a 23rd successive match victory in hard-court Grand Slams to reach the US Open third round.

Meanwhile debate around Taylor Townsend and Jelena Ostapenko's argument continues with Naomi Osaka saying the Latvian's comment around Townsend having "no education" was "one of the worst things you could say to a black tennis player".
