    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Carlos Alcaraz is so athletic isn't he, that's what we're all excited about because he can adapt his game and can play tough baseline rallies and go forward, it's electric.

  3. What a pointpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 6-4 6-3 4-3 Tiafoe

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Another standing ovation - maybe the 100th in this match that has featured some brilliant passages of play, but that one to seal the break will take some beating.

What a point. That feels big.

  4. Norrie breakspublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Norrie 4-6 6-4 6-3 4-3 Tiafoe

Epic rally! Norrie slips at the net but somehow springs back to his feet to pull off a drop-shot.

Tiafoe gets there but pulls a forehand wide!

And that's it, a break! A crucial break in the fourth set.

Norrie is two games from the third round.

    Alcaraz 1-0 Tarvet*

    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Oliver Tarvet might have to rely on a number of mistakes from Carlos Alcaraz, certainly when that ball drifted long he already gave the fist pump up to his player box.

  7. Alcaraz holds...justpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 2 July

    Alcaraz 1-0 Tarvat*

Almost the perfect start for Ollie Tarvat.

Carlos Alcaraz saves *three* break points to hold - eventually - after a very stodgy opening service game.

Tarvat's first couple of points were met with significant cheers - he'll need the home crowd this afternoon, you feel.

This is the moment where Ollie Tarvet’s dream became a reality.

Every British player has visualised walking out onto Centre Court.

Tarvet, a 21-year-old from St Albans, has just done it for real.

A warm applause greets the world number 733 - and some lad called Alcaraz behind him - with both players waving to the crowd.

Bet that heartrate is pumping for Tarvet. He’s never played in front of more that several hundred people before.

  13. 'Best of both worlds from a crowd perspective'published at 15:42 British Summer Time 2 July

    Tarvet v Alcaraz

    David Law
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

You've kind of got the best of both worlds from a crowd perspective here. You've got the two-time defending champion, the man who is one of the most electric players in the sport and you've got a young British player who no-one had ever heard of until about Thursday last week.

He's 733rd in the world, 21-years-old and we get to discover what he's all about, so that's a pretty tantalising prospect.

  14. Tiafoe holdspublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Norrie 4-6 6-4 6-3 2-3 Tiafoe

We keep marching on in the fourth set on Court One. Tiafoe holds to 30.

  15. GB's Harris holdspublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Borges 6-3 3-2 Harris

Three aces from Billy Harris in his service game and that will give him some much-needed confidence as he avoids going a double break down.

  16. Norrie holdspublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Norrie 4-6 6-4 6-3 2-2 Tiafoe

Belter from Cam Norrie who dispatches a beaut of a passing forehand winner down the line at 15-15.

It sets the tone of this game with the former Wimbledon semi-finalist holding to 15.

  17. High demands on team Evopublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    Harry Poole
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

“COME ON!” Dan Evans yells at Henry Searle, as the young Brit attempts to sprint towards a drop shot.

That loud encouragement helps Searle find an extra gear, but the ball falls short of the net anyway.

The demands are high on team Evo, but Searle is working hard to meet them.

What a learning experience this is. Evans’ passion and enthusiam is bringing the crowd a lot of joy here.

Rapturous applause for both players as Ollie Tarvet and Carlos Alcaraz make their way on to Centre Court.

What a moment for the British qualifier.

  19. Tiafoe holdspublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 6-4 6-3 1-2 Tiafoe*

Deuce on Tiafoe's serve. But the American doesn't panic, winding up a 135mph ace before backing it up with a 128mph effort, on the T, to hold.

  20. 'Alcaraz won't know about Tarvet's game plan'published at 15:31 British Summer Time 2 July

    Tarvet v Alcaraz

    Naomi Broady
British player on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

Oliver Tarvet is not on tour full-time yet, he's still at American university. I don't think he's expecting to win against Carlos Alcaraz, but I mean how dangerous can you be?

He's had great form and has come through the qualifiers full of confidence. Alcaraz is going to know absolutely nothing about his game, he's not going to go out there and feel comfortable with a firm game plan.

Ollie's team could of sat and watched hundreds of thousands of hours, I'm not sure if you're coming up with a game plan of how to win, it might just be a specific and tricky one to execute but he's at least going to know what to expect in terms of his opponent.
