    Fritz 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-0) Diallo

Gabriel Diallo is going to have his work cut out to get back into this match if Taylor Fritz continues to play as he did in the third set.

The American made just two unforced errors. If your opponent is basically not making any mistakes, taking four points a game off them becomes unbelievably difficult, let alone doing so six times.

    Fritz 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-0) Diallo

The players are back out on court now.

They've got a four-minute warm-up and then play will resume.

    Fritz 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-0) Diallo

We'll turn our attention to the last match of the day on the show courts then.

Fifth seed Taylor Fritz has come from a set down to lead Canada's Gabriel Diallo, winning the third-set tie-break 7-0.

The roof on Court One is currently being closed but that process looks all but completed so play should be resuming shortly.

Some groans from the crowd as it was announced that play is suspended due to darkness.

The high stands around the court does put a lot of it into shade, making visibility for the players that bit more difficult.

Maybe it comes at a good time for Arthur Fery. A chance to regroup.

  5. 'The fans will be disappointed'published at 20:49 British Summer Time 2 July

The fans will definitely be disappointed because that was a real treat.

Great level of tennis from both players, it's a shame it had to end so soon.

  6. Play suspendedpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 3-6 0-0 Darderi*

And that's that for today on court two. A brief discussion between the players and the umpire before the latter announces that play has been suspended because of bad light.

Slightly surprising but Arthur Fery will have a night to plot his way back into this match.

  7. Game and second set - Darderipublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 3-6 0-0 Darderi*

Luciano Darderi moves to within a set of victory.

The Italian fights back from 40-15 on the Arthur Fery serve to earn his first set point.

Fery saves that with a smart volley at the net - the 22nd point the Brit has won at the net.

But Darderi comes again and this time Fery can't deny him. It's a two-set lead for Darderi.

  8. Game and third set - Fritzpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fritz 3-6 6-3 5-6 (7-0) Diallo

That looked like a breeze for Taylor Fritz as he controlled the tie-break from start to finish.

Canada's Gabriel Diallo just didn't have the answers and couldn't get into any sort of rhythm.

Let's see how the fourth set plays out.

  9. Lehecka latest seed to exitpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 2 July

    Lehecka 6-7 (4-7) 1-6 5-7 Bellucci

    Another seed bites the dust.

    Czech Jiri Lehecka, seeded 23, exits after a 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 7-5 defeat by Italy's Mattia Bellucci.

Lehecka made the Queen's final in the lead-up to Wimbledon but becomes the 15th men's seed to bow out in the early stages of this Grand Slam.

  11. Darderi saves two break pointspublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Fery 4-6 3-5 Darderi

It's fantastic fighting spirit from Arthur Fery but that's being matched by Luciano Darderi.

Fery earns two break back points with a stunning backhand winner down the line. It's been such clean hitting from both players in this set.

But Darderi saves both, finding a couple of huge serves when he needs them, before another net chord helps the Italian close it out.

Breaks galore at the moment, with Darderi sealing the latest one by coming out on top of an absorbing rally that had those watching sucked in.

A few more seats have been filled, more support for Arthur Fery which may give him the edge he needs.

  14. 'Fery so unlucky'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 2 July

    Dom Inglot

They were battering the ball at each other, Arthur Fery was so unlucky with the net chord.

You can see Fery's frustration, being undone by the net.

Another seeded player is out of the tournament after Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova won 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 against American Ashlyn Krueger.

Elina Svitolina, who is 14th seed, beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-2 6-4 as she goes through to the third round.

  16. Darderi breaks againpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 3-4 Darderi*

Three breaks in a row - and Luciano Darderi has the edge again.

He gets it after the longest rally of the match ends with Arthur Fery being undone by a net chord, so unfortunate.

He had saved two break points prior to that, the first with a good serve out wide and then the second by answering Darderi's searing forehand with one of his own.

But after all that, the Brit needs another break just to level up the set.

  17. Fery breaks backpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Fery 4-6 3-3 Darderi

    Ooh that's close.

Luciano Darderi's backhand is shown to be millimetres wide... but that's enough to give Arthur Fery two break points.

The first is saved with a big first serve - but Fery takes the second.

He there waiting for the serve out wide and cracks the backhand return down the line for a winner. Back on serve!

  18. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 2-3 Darderi*

    Dom Inglot
Former British tennis player on BBC TV

Luciano Darderi is making Arthur Fery work so hard for every point on his own service games.

That's a tax that he will have to pay.

  19. Darderi breakspublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 2-3 Darderi*

    Luciano Darderi has the break.

He was held off bravely three times by Arthur Fery but the British wildcard could not make it four.

A volley into the net from Fery gives Darderi the advantage in the second set.

  20. Fery saves three break pointspublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 4-6 2-2 Darderi*

It's passing shot after passing shot from Luciano Darderi in the past couple of games.

Arthur Fery has had success coming to the net but will be wary of advancing now with the way the Italian is hitting it and finding the gaps.

He tries to trade blows from the baseline but that's no good either. Two break points for Darderi... but Fery holds him off.

Darderi comes again, though, moving Fery side to side before earning another break point.

Fery denies him again, great resilience but it's not long before Darderi has a fourth.
