That'll do! Long from Marketa Vondrousova. Emma Raducanu converts her first match point to set up a third-round date with world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

Raducanu was incredible today. Her best tennis in a long time.

It was the backhand that caused the problems for Marketa Vondrousova. Again, it's just a quick variation on the ball that was coming to her, she saw her opponent coming forward, quick opening up the wrist and it made that shot very tricky and then Raducanu had the open space.

It's like a chess player that is playing two or three moves ahead here.

    Raducanu 6-3 5-3 Vondrousova*

Raducanu's backhands have been a thorn in Vondrousova's side tonight. The Czech gets to Raducanu's latest but is off-balance and forehands it out. 40-30.

  4. Fery saves three break pointspublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fery 3-4 Darderi*

Break point for Arthur Fery but Luciano Darderi saves it with a succession of powerful groundstrokes before finishing it off at the net.

Fery saves three break points of his own in the next game and does so smartly, coming to the net and showing good touch successfully on each occasion.

A pair of big serves help the Brit see out the game and keep it at just one break.

Everything Emma Raducanu touches is turning to gold, to Wimbledon gold, and Marketa Vondrousova can only chuckle in despair.

  9. Raducanu holdspublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 2 July

    Raducanu 6-3 5-3 Vondrousova*

Raducanu continues her race towards the third round. An unreturnable first serve helps the Brit to 40-0.

Next point she catches Vondrousova trying to run to the net so instead works the point towards her feet and finishes off with a backhand into the corner.

    Clever tennis. Great tennis.

Everything is a bit too laid back in this match, Marketa Vondrousova is not bringing enough intensity to try and challenge Emma Raducanu.

Raducanu is doing a great job just reading the ball, reading the patterns of play, she's onto it, she's early, everything is well prepared and balance.

There's not a lot that Vondrousova has done to make her feel uncomfortable and off balance.

  11. Vondrousova holdspublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Raducanu 6-3 4-3 Vondrousova

Raducanu has half a chance of an insurance break but Vondrousova is still alive in this one. Two top serves help her hold without any further nonsense.

  12. Deuce on Vondrousova's servepublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 2 July

    Raducanu 6-3 4-2 Vondrousova*

Exhibition tennis as Raducanu somehow returns two overhead smashes before Vondrousova silences the crowd by properly wellying her third attempt.

At 40-15 Raducanu manages to keep the game going with a fine passing shot.

And then Vondrousova once again takes the power off her overheads, allowing Raducanu to get back into a rally and, ultimately, whack a backhand winner into the corner. Deuce.

Paolini has just changed her racquet as she tries to overturn this break.

Wonder what the reason for that is? Sometimes it’s psychological more than anything.

I don't think Emma Raducanu could be hitting the ball any better, I really don't.

I think she's absolutely middling it and I think she feels like she can do absolutely anything with that tennis ball tonight.

  15. 'Raducanu spreads the court with her serve'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 2 July

Emma Raducanu spreads the court with her serve, she has got a nice rhythm.

Hard and fast to the forehand of Marketa Vondrousova is another tactic that has worked well.

This game started with an ace, and it ends with one too. A hold to 15 for Raducanu.

I can't remember seeing the Briton serve this well for a long ol' time. She's in sparkling form.

Paolini is still down a break and running out of time to sort that out.

This crowd are wiling her on but she’s going to have to dig deep.

  18. Fery holdspublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    Important hold for Arthur Fery.

He's taken to deuce by Luciano Darderi but comes through, following in a deep forehand before a drop volley that the Italian can only return into the net.

The Brit is still a break down in the first.

Someone in the crowd tries to start a "let's go, Marketa" chant during the change of ends.

    It doesn't catch on.

Back to the action and Raducanu starts off the next game with an ace.

Let's not discount Vondrousova just yet. The former champ wins at the net before getting in a tough first serve to squeak to a hold.

    She needed that game.
