Ohhhh brilliant winner from Cameron Norrie!

One of the shots of the match as Norrie hits the fuzz off the ball with a crunching backhand that clips the sideline and races away to safety.

Norrie is one set away from the quarter-finals.

Two set points for Cameron Norrie.

This is impressive from Cameron Norrie, he is just so focused.

He is doing what I call 'meat and potatoes' left-handed tennis, serving out wide and into space to draw the error.

The crowd are really getting into it now. This will help because he loves playing in front of a crowd that's behind him.

  4. Second-set tie-breakpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 6 July

    Jarry 3-6 6-6 (4-5) Norrie*

Nicolas Jarry can't get either of his first serves in but Cameron Norrie is unable to take advantage.

However, Norrie now has two serves of his own - win them both and he'll have a two-set lead.

And Cameron Norrie now nudges in front with a powerful return that Nicolas Jarry can't get back.

Two serves to come for the Briton to take a stranglehold on this breaker - and he wins the first of them before the change of ends.

  6. Second-set tie-breakpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 6 July

    *Jarry 3-6 6-6 (2-2) Norrie

First blood to Nicolas Jarry in the tie-break. Just a bit too strong for Cameron Norrie, who loses the second of his first two points on serve.

But Norrie gets that mini-break straight back as Jarry goes off target with a forehand.

  7. 'Jarry still hasn't made the adjustment on the outside'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 6 July

    *Jarry 3-6 6-6 (0-0) Norrie

    Greg Rusedski
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 2 and BBC Sounds

If Cameron Norrie can go two sets up here, it will make a huge difference.

What I'm liking from him is he keeps on pushing that backhand out wide. Nicolas Jarry still hasn't made the adjustment on the outside. Until he does, he isn't going to be able to turn this match around.

  8. Second-set tie-breakpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 6 July

    *Jarry 3-6 6-6 (0-0) Norrie

A rocket of a return winner brings up 15-30 for Nicolas Jarry. Court One attempts to raise the home hope.

Jarry crumbles with a poor miss into the net from a Cameron Norrie second serve.

    We're into a tie-break.

Both players had just the one break-point opportunity in this set, neither of them taken.

Three aces and a serve-and-volley winner.

That's not the sequel to 1987 film "Three Men and a Baby" - it's the description of Nicolas Jarry's latest service game, which means he'll at least be in a tie-break in set two.

  10. Sabalenka-Mertens up next on Centre Courtpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 6 July

    Sabalenka v Mertens

Up next on Centre Court is world number one Aryna Sabalenka's match up against Belgium's Elise Mertens.

The Belarusian booked her place in the fourth round with a straight-set win against Britain's Emma Raducanu in the previous round.

Mertens, a 2021 winner in the doubles, is through to the fourth round of the singles for just the second time in her career.

  11. Norrie holdspublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 6 July

    *Jarry 3-6 5-5 Norrie

Wow, at 15-30 a gutsy forehand from Cameron Norrie bounces right on the baseline and Nicolas Jarry can't get it back.

An inch further and it would have been two set points to the qualifier from Chile.

As it is, two more great serves secure the hold for the Briton.

  12. 'Both men are coming up with the goods'published at 15:52 British Summer Time 6 July

    Jarry 3-6 5-4 Norrie*

The reason Nicolas Jarry serves into Cameron Norrie's forehand is because usually it is blocked or covered with rotation and more height, so it gives him a lot more time.

When he serves into the backhand side, it is flat and quick so he can't take the first shot and go after it after the serve.

Both men are coming up with the goods here, so it's going to come down to who blinks first in this second set.

  13. 'You took the game away'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 6 July

    Kartal 6-7 (3-7) 4-6 Pavlyuchenkova

If you're joining us late today then you may have missed the controversy with a line call late in the opening set between Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Sonay Kartal.

Watch the moment Pavlyuchenkova was denied winning a game due to the electronic line-calling system failing, resulting in the point being replayed and leading Kartal winning the game.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova speaking after her victory over GB's Sonay Kartal on Centre Court: "It is incredible. I always thought I was not good enough on grass so this is incredible for me. Especially with me getting older, I am so impressed and proud of myself for competing with the younger girls."

On what was the key for her improvements on grass: "My mental toughness is getting better. I used to be a little bit crazy in my head! But now I am learning to fight point by point. It was tough conditions here today but I managed to stay focused. Thank you to the crowd for the great energy."

On challenges throughout the match: "Winning the first set, I thought let's go. At the start of the second set, Kartal was finding rhythm and putting pressure on me. I was getting out of breath sometimes but I am so happy I stayed determined."

  16. Here comes the rain...published at 15:47 British Summer Time 6 July

It was nice while it lasted, but the rain has returned at Wimbledon.

The umbrella's are up, the covers are on and the players are off all around the grounds as we wait for this next spell of wet and stormy weather to pass.

We will keep you updated on when play will get under way again as soon as we have it - but there definitely won't be anything until 16:15 BST.

  17. 'Kartal will take confidence from this'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 6 July

    Tracy Austin

A very subdued celebration from Pavlyuchenkova. This is a lot for her and her team and a huge achievement after the illness she has been through this year. What a Wimbledon for this young lady.

This is a career high for Kartal and she will get so much confidence from this.

Nicolas Jarry is deep in conversation with chair umpire Eva Asderaki-Moore and pointing up to the roof.

Not sure what his problem is. Maybe something about the lights?

Jarry is so tall that the lumen probably hits his vision differently.

He can't be moaning about the torrential downpour leaking in. This is Wimbledon, not Old Trafford.

Nicolas Jarry's forehand finds some extra zip but Cameron Norrie stays rock solid on serve to level it up again in set two.

  20. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 6 July

    Kartal 6-7 (3-7) 4-6 Pavlyuchenkova

Anastasia Pavluychenkova reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon in 2016 and had not made it beyond the third round in five attempts at SW19 until this year.

Pavlyuchenkova equals the record for the biggest gap between her first two quarter-finals reached in women’s singles at Wimbledon during the Open Era, equalling Mary Pierce (1996-2005).
