  2. Musetti, Bublik and Zheng out - around the groundspublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 1 July

Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili has completed a shock 6-2 4-6 7-5 6-1 win over Italian seventh seed Lorenzo Musetti. After losing the opening set, the Italian looked to be turning the tide in the second, but lost his way again in the third and fourth sets.

Alexander Bublik was unable to fight back from a set down against Spain's Jaume Munar on court 14. It wasn't plain sailing for the Spaniard though, who needed five sets and over three hours to see off the 28th seed 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-2.

The upsets don't stop there though, as reigning Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen has also been stunned out on court in SW19. Katerina Siniakova came out on top over three sets, beating the fifth seed 7-5 4-6 6-1 on court three.

Wang Xinyu also managed to get the better of 15th seed Karolina Muchova on court 15. The Chinese player only needed one hour and 25 minutes to complete the straight-set victory and cruise through to round two.

Elsewhere, seventh seed Mirra Andreeva has opened up a one-set advantage over Egypt's Mayar Sherif. The pair are into the second set on court three, which Andreeva leads 2-1.

Tomas Machac already has one foot in the second round after opening up a 6-3 6-2 advantage over Bosnia-Herzegovina's Damir Dzumhur. He is already 2-0 up in the third set on court 15.

At 35, Dan Evans might not have too many more Wimbledon appearances left and you can see just how much it means to remain in the mix this year.

Evans heads off to the side of the court cheering and then starts throwing all sorts of equipment - towels, sweatbands and balls - into the crowd.

    Petra Kvitova 3-3 Emma Navarro*

    It's poor from Petra Kvitova.

    *Evans 6-1 7-5 5-2 Clarke

Dan Evans cuts a shot just over the net and it kisses the paint to get him to 15-15. Jay Clarke asks for a review and it's clearly in - we have electronic line calling now so it's a little pointless.

Evans kicks on further and has two match points.

  13. Navarro holdspublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Kvitova 3-2 Navarro

Petra Kvitova, who will retire after the US Open later this year, seems like she's in a hurry.

She's hit some brilliant winners so far - 10 in total - but there was a couple of wild unforced errors in that game that let Emma Navarro off the hook.

It's clear that the Czech doesn't want to get into long rallies with her American opponent.

Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Bublik both out?

It was the other Harry Poole who wrote that five men’s players to watch at Wimbledon preview piece, I swear…

Despite his loss, Bublik takes the time to stop for photos as he attempts to escape court 14, which is completely crowded at all sides after more and more spectators caught wind of a five-set showdown.

    Not his day.
