    All square in this one.

GB's George Loffhagen had been playing his own game for much of this match but has been talking to his coaches more as a difficult second set went on.

Pedro Martinez, the world number 52, showed his quality but Loffhagen was also making too many mistakes.

The 24-year-old needs to regain his focus in this third set.

  2. Sinner breakspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Sinner 6-4 6-3 1-0 Nardi

After failing to take his first two break points, Jannik Sinner makes no mistake on the third to take control of this third set.

The Italian is proving too aggressive for Luca Nardi right now, who is having to play some of his best tennis just to stay in contention.

    Krejcikova 3-6 3-0 Eala*

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Krejcikova looks seriously troubled by her ball toss.

It's almost every serve at this point she's having to re-do the ball toss.

Perhaps an indication she is still battling that back injury. Or at least hampered by a lack of practice serving.

  4. Krejcikova saves break points to holdpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 July

    Krejcikova 3-6 3-0 Eala*

More problems for Barbora Krejcikova on her own serve, including a sixth double fault of the match. When she frames a forehand high and wide, Alexandra Eala has two break-back points.

Eala nets on the first and Krejcikova finds an ace to save the second.

Krejcikova holds from there, but my word - that service motion can't be filling her with confidence.

  5. Martinez restores double breakpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 1 July

    Martinez 2-6 5-2 Loffhagen*

Pedro Martinez is continuing to hang in this tasty contest on court 16.

George Loffhagen is unable to hold his service once again and his opponent regains his double break advantage at 5-2 in this second set.

The Spaniard will now serve for this second set to level things up.

  6. Evans holdspublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 1 July

    Evans 1-0 Clarke*

A strong start from the more experienced Dan Evans.

Evans races to a 40-0 lead and eventually gets the hold to 30 against fellow Briton Jay Clarke.

  7. Krejcikova breakspublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Krejcikova 3-6 2-0 Eala

Alexandra Eala looks on in disbelief as a Barbora Krejcikova return clips the outside of the line. I think she might have been expecting an "out" call, but the technology shows it was in.

That brings up three break points and Krejcikova takes the second of them to jump into a 2-0 lead at the start of the second set.

  8. Game and second set - Sinnerpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-4 6-3 Nardi*

Jannik Sinner is racing towards round two.

The world number one takes the set when Luca Nardi fails to return a wide serve.

  9. Krejcikova holdspublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 1 July

    Krejcikova 3-6 1-0 Eala*

The TV cameras pick up actor Russell Crowe and golfer Justin Rose watching the action on Centre Court, as Barbora Krejcikova rattles through a service hold to love at the start of the second set.

Much better from the reigning champion.

  10. Martinez double breakpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 1 July

    Gary Rose

Pedro Martinez is blasting through this second set as British wildcard George Loffhagen double-faults and his opponent gets the double break.

Out come the ice towels as the players prepare for a third set, with temperatures now over 31C.

The new generation are coming very quickly and here might be the leader of them. Alexandra Eala has taken the opening set against the defending champion.

  13. Fourth deucepublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-4 5-2 Nardi*

Luca Nardi is let off the hook as Jannik Sinner reads a drop shot and has a golden chance for advantage but he goes long.

We're over six minutes into the this game at fourth deuce as Nardi clings on in the second set.

    *Krejcikova 3-6 0-0 Eala

    Anne Keothavong
Former British number one on BBC TV

One thing Alexandra Eala doesn't have is a big serve and we haven't really seen Barbora Krejoikova take advantage on the returns.

  15. A lot at stake for Krejcikovapublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Krejcikova 3-6 0-0 Eala

    Russell Fuller
Tennis correspondent on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

If Krejcikova were to lose in this first round, her ranking would drop from 16th to 90-something. That is a significant change and will affect her ability to get into big tournaments.

  16. Game and first set - Ealapublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Krejcikova 3-6 0-0 Eala

Alexandra Eala takes the first set in 49 minutes and the defending champion is in trouble against one of the sport's rising stars on Centre Court.

Problems for Barbora Krejcikova, who is yet to find any sort of consistent rhythm - perhaps understandable given her injury issues in recent months.

  17. Deucepublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-4 5-2 Nardi*

Luca Nardi decides to take this game to Jannik Sinner.

Nardi steps up to the net for successive points and hits a couple of winners - a drop shot and a forehand - to lead 40-15.

But a couple of unforced errors take it to deuce.

  18. GB's Loffhagen up against itpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Martinez 2-6 3-1 Loffhagen

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

It has all gone a bit awry for GB's George Loffhagen in this second set.

He made just five unforced errors in the first set but four games into this one and he's already made 16.

Can he get back to what he was doing so well in set one?

Daria Kasatkina has claimed her second-round spot with a straight sets victory over Colombia's Emiliana Arango on court 14. Kasatkina, now representing Australia, needed just one hour and 38 minutes to wrap up the victory, after taking the first set 7-5 and breezing through the second set 6-3.

Alex de Minaur has also wrapped his first round match in quick fashion with a 6-2 6-2 7-6 (7-2) victory over Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena. The 11th seed will face either Arthur Cazaux or fellow Australian Adam Walton in the second round.

Slovenia's Veronika Erjavec has taken a shock win over 26th seed Marta Kostyuk on court 16. The world number 171 fought back from a set down to complete a 3-6 6-3 6-4 victory.

Elsewhere, Lorenzo Musetti looks to have settled into his first-round match against Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili over on court two. After losing the opening set 6-2, the Italian seventh seed has taken the second set 6-4 and things are all square at 4-4 in the third.

  20. Sinner holdspublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 1 July

    Sinner 6-4 5-2 Nardi*

Jannik Sinner seals another service game with a flourish.

The three-time Grand Slam champion slams an overhead volley to wrap a hold to 15.

Luca Nardi is serving to stay in the set.
