    *Burrage/Kartal 3-6 0-0 Haddad Maia/ Siegemund

It's a hard fought game but Beatriz Haddad Maia and Laura Siegemund prevail to take the first set.

Jodie Burrage hits into the net to bring up match point and a clever forehand from Siegemund is enough to put the 11th seeds in control of this match on court 16.

Some work for the Britons to do if they are to reach the third round.

  2. Roof opening on Centre Courtpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 5 July

    Swiatek v Collins

So Jannik Sinner has won convincingly on Centre Court (we'll have quotes from him shortly) and there's going to be a bit of a gap until the start of Iga Swiatek v Danielle Collins because the roof will be retracted.

    *Dimitrov 6-3 0-1 Ofner

Grigor Dimitrov takes the opening set 6-3 against Sebastian Ofner on court three.

After a mid-set rain delay, the Bulgarian picks up from where he left off to make his early break of serve count.

Ofner is struggling to get his big hitting into play, but Dimitrov is looking sharp out there.

The winner of this match will set up a fourth-round tie against world number one Jannik Sinner.

Believe it or not, Pedro Martinez lasted the longest on court of all Jannik Sinner's opponents so far this tournament - just.

Aleksandar Vukic stuck around for just 100 minutes against the world number one, after Sinner took eight minutes longer to see off fellow Italian Luca Nardi in the first round.

Martinez was required to spend 115 minutes out there today - but this felt by far Sinner's most one-sided victory so far.

He gave very little emotion away during that but draws plenty of cheers as he congratulates Martinez for his efforts, and addresses the sporting royalty that watched him comprehensively outclass another opponent.

  5. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Krejcikova 5-1 Navarro

Emma Navarro is having to do a lot of running.

Barbora Krejcikova is mixing up the play and moving the 10th seed around the back of the court.

The defending champion puts the pressure on Navarro as she takes it to deuce and then set point.

    Can she take it? No.

Into the net goes the backhand and Navarro gets a reprieve, but not for long as Krejcokova brings up another set point.

A misjudged drop shot and we are back at deuce again.

  6. Haddad Maia to serve for first setpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 5 July

    Burrage/Kartal 3-5 Haddad Maia*/Siegemund

Sonay Kartal gets through her service game with ease to keep the Britons in the opening set.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is that.

Jannik Sinner books his spot in the fourth round with a pair of aces to finish off the job against Pedro Martinez in straight sets.

The world number one hasn't lost a game on serve or a set in the Championships so far.

Credit to Martinez, though. He clearly wasn't at full strength for what was one of the biggest days of his life. But he gave everything and made Sinner work harder than perhaps he thought he would have to.

  8. Krejcikova holdspublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 5 July

    Krejcikova 5-1 Navarro*

Barbora Krejcikova has really come out firing since the rain delay.

She backs up the double break with a simple hold of her own serve and the pressure is now on 10th seed Emma Navarro to serve to stay in this opening set.

  9. Haddad Maia and Siegemund closing in on first setpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 5 July

    Burrage/Kartal* 2-5 Haddad Mai/Siegemund

Jodie Burrage holds on her service game but the Britons are unable to build on that.

Laura Siegemund flies through her service game as Sonay Kartal nets.

Kartal will have to serve to stay in the first set.

  10. 'Worked so hard towards this'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 5 July

    Tauson 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 Rybakina

Clara Tauson celebrates after victoryImage source, Getty Images

Clara Tauson, speaking on court: "Thanks to the crowd, it was amazing to play here today even if it was a little rainy.

"I don't know what to say. I think I played a great match here today and before this grass season I had never won a match on grass, so I'm super happy with how I played today.

"My serve is always a big weapon but learning to manage the first shot, Elena plays so hard, but I was there fighting for every single point and I think that was the key today.

"My coach, who is also my boyfriend, have been working so hard all year and the end of last year. I've worked so hard towards this."

  11. Mixing it uppublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Krejcikova 4-1 Navarro

    Sonia Oxley
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Defending champion Krejcikova came into Wimbledon on the back of an injury but there really is no sign of that thigh problem so far in this match. She is moving well and really mixing up her shots in a way that is confusing Navarro.

  12. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 5 July

    Tauson 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 Rybakina

Clara Tauson has equalled the best result achieved in the Open Era by a player from Denmark in women’s singles in Wimbledon round four, made by Caroline Wozniacki six times.

  13. Krejcikova breaks againpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Krejcikova 4-1 Navarro

Barbora Krejcikova does what she needs to do and backs up the early break with a hold to 30.

The Czech's seeding of 17 is perhaps a little misleading.

The defending champion has been unfortunate over the past 12 months with injury issues and she has struggled to get the matches under her belt.

She is showing the qualities out there today against Emma Navarro that won her the title last year as she takes the 10th seed to deuce.

Navarro fends off one break point... and another... but she cannot defend a third and Krejcikova hits a couple of big forehands to go a double-break up.

Clara Tauson faults on first serve but gets the job done on second when Elena Rybakina gets too much on a forehand from the net.

The 2022 Wimbledon champion is out.

Tauson, who had never gone beyond the first round in three previous attempts, is into round four!

    *Sinner 6-1 6-3 4-0 Martinez

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

This is good target practice for Sinner for the most part; he can come up with all sorts of shots.

You have to commend Martinez for going out there but this will be over in a few minutes.

  18. Break point Rybakinapublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 5 July

    *Tauson 7-6 (8-6) 5-3 Rybakina

Pedro Martinez is not enjoying this third set.

The Spaniard saves the first of two break points but Sinner toys with him on the second, sending Martinz all over the court before smashing an overhead for the double break.

    *Tauson 7-6 (8-6) 5-3 Rybakina
