American 10th seed Emma Navarro speaks after beating defending champion Barbora Krejcikova: "It was really tough out here today. Probably neither of us played our best tennis. I know she was dealing with some injuries at times and I was dealing with whatever I was dealing with over there. It was really tough today.

"I'm so grateful to be playing here at Wimbledon. I have to remind myself how special of an opportunity this is when I am out here. It's not easy but it means the most of me to play the sport I love in front of you guys at the most prestigious tournament so it is awesome to be here."

On keeping focus when Krejcikova was struggling: "It's really not easy, part of you is telling yourself to just put a bunch of balls into the court and that's all you have to do but she is an amazing player, injuries or no injuries. Not an easy challenge for sure."

How she turned things around: "I was able to serve a bit better and gains a little bit of traction on my return games. I was able to play a few more scrappy points and get a few more balls back into the court."

Jannik Sinner watches compatriot Lorenzo Sonego

OK, so you’ll have to take my word for it, but on the left here is Jannik Sinner, watching and supporting compatriot Lorenzo Sonego from the top of the media pavilion, where players head to do their interviews for TV.

Sonego is taking on American Brandon Nakashima on court 14, with the match level at one set apiece.

Following wins for Sinner and Flavio Cobolli already today, a victory for Sonego would make this the first time in history that three Italian players have reached the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Alex de Minaur has a two-set advantage over August Holmgren!

Holmgren practically handed the Australian 11th seed that second set, serving up a double fault at 6-5 down in the tie-break. A crucial moment that could prove costly.

The Dane has headed down the tunnel for a comfort break before the start of the third set. He might be full of disappointment, but he will need to reset himself to get back into this one.

On how it feels playing on grass: "It is much more fun this year. I had practices where the ball was listening to me. Today was a good day and it is a new experience feeling good on this surface.

"If the ball is listening to me, I don't need to do much. I try to be aggressive and I am moving a lot better here."

On her intensity: "I am an intense person. I really try to use every moment to chill out off the court. I try to point my intensity in the right direction and not to lose focus."
