    Fery tries to serve and volley but Popyrin passes him easily down the line.

    Alexei Popyrin is in all kinds of trouble now.

    British wildcard Arthur Fery is cruising in this match against the 20th seed.

    The 22-year-old puts Popyrin under pressure once again on his serve and once again, the seeded player cannot hold onto it and, in just 31 minutes Fery takes the second set.

    After two first round exits, is it going to be third time lucky for Fery at Wimbledon?

    Coolly done by Fabio Fognini from 0-30.

    He brings Alcaraz to the net with a lovely drop shot, the Spaniard reaches it but Fognini is there to put away a delicate volley.

    The Italian puts away another volley at the net to hold.

    The second set is now 27 minutes old, already longer than the first. Credit to Carson Branstine for sticking with the world number one in set two.

    Aryna Sabalenka holds serve comfortably once again though, and you feel this might be the time she steps on the gas to try to wrap this first-round match up.

    Missed opportunity for Fabio Fognini.

    He has a look at a second serve on the second of his break points but it's 110mph into the body from Carlos Alcaraz and Fognini can only skew the ball wide.

    Alcaraz follows up with vicious forehand winner down the line for advantage and swiftly finishes the job.

    Still on serve in the first set.

    Mattia Bellucci was in control of the fourth set, coming to the net and forcing Oliver Crawford into mistakes.

    But Brit Crawford is not ready to give up just yet.

    He comes to the net and puts a forehand winner past Bellucci who dives to the ground to reach it but can only find the net.

    Roberto Bautista Agut takes the second set on Court 18!

    Cameron Norrie did manage to keep himself in the second set with a 40-15 service hold, but the Spaniard did one better and put the set to bed with a service hold to love.

    Some nervy moments for Carson Branstine as the Canadian, from 40-0 up, sees a lob sail over her head and just inside the line to bring up deuce.

    But Aryna Sabalenka can't force the first break of the second set and it remains on serve.

    A double fault to start the game for Carlos Alcaraz and he's then unable to return a powerful forehand from Fabio Fognini.

    Things are getting better and better for Arthur Fery on Court 15.

    There has been a lot of headshaking from 20th seed Alexei Popyrin as he struggles once again on his serve.

    But British wildcard Fery keeps the pressure up and takes full advantage as he now leads by a double break in the second set.

    The Spaniard was unable to serve out the second set though, so the second set is still in the balance on Court 18.

    Signs that Carlos Alcaraz is starting to warm to his task.

    The ground-strokes are a little crisper and his movements that much sharper but Fabio Fognini is still able to secure the hold.

    Alcaraz got it to 30-30 but Fognini digs in to win the next two points and keep it on serve.
