    .

It seemed like the break in this game - as a result of the suspension last night due to fading light - did Arthur Fery the world of good as he got that quick break, but Luciano Darderi's response since then has been impeccable and he's now looking like he's picked up from where he left off last night.

One good thing for Fery, though, is that he has more support behind him today, with a few more in the stands than there were yesterday evening.

Evans doesn't look happy at all, and starts chuntering towards his box about backhands.

Mirra Andreeva can't get the job done at the first time of asking... but she does at the second.

The seventh seed cannot quite put the smash away at the net but she plays a lovely drop-shot as Lucia Bronzetti tries to get the pass and it does exactly what she needs as the Andreeva secures the win.

The 18-year-old didn't have it all her own way in that match, but she does enough in the end to avoid the fate of many other seeds this tournament and secures her spot in the third round.

Whatever he said has worked. Darderi wins successive points to come from 30-15 down to earn a break back point.
