    De Minaur 4-6 6-2 6-4 6-0 Cazaux

Alex de Minaur wins in four sets and it was comfortable in the end.

French qualifier Arthur Cazaux put in a valiant effort but cannot avoid the bagel.

It was not to be today as the Australian 11th seed reaches the third round where he will face either Danish qualifier August Holmgren or Czech 21st seed Tomas Machac.

  2. What did Djokovic's celebration really mean?published at 14:03 British Summer Time 3 July

    Jonathan Jurejko
BBC Sport senior tennis reporter at Wimbledon

Keep your eyes on Novak Djokovic if he does win today.

After his opening victory, the Serb legend went through his trademark repertoire of celebrations - then turned towards his family and mimed pumping motions with his hands.

"That’s between me and my kids," he said afterwards. "We’ve got two songs we’ve been listening to lately, and we were joking about how that choreography might be fitting for every win at Wimbledon."

But Slobodan Maricic, one of my colleagues at BBC Serbia, says there might be more to it than meets the eye.

"The phrase ‘pump it up’ has become widely used in Serbia in recent months, amid the large-scale student protests," he explains.

"They were sparked by the collapse of the railway station canopy in Novi Sad in November 2024, which claimed 16 lives.

"Djokovic has referenced the protests on several occasions and events happening on the streets across Serbia."

    *Evans 2-3 Djokovic

Even Djokovic is clapping after Evans chases down a forehand before sprinting to the net and volleying a winner.

It's the Brit's only joy in this game though as Djokovic holds to 15 with an ace.

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

    Oh hello!

This was pretty unexpected after that first set performance from Mirra Andreeva.

But fair play to Lucia Bronzetti, she takes the break of serve and command of this second set.

    *De Minaur 4-6 6-2 6-4 5-0 Cazaux

Alex de Minaur is absolutely motoring through this fourth set.

Arthur Cazaux hits into the net after De Minaur's forehand just sails over.

Cazaux's forehand is long and De Minaur has the chance to serve for the match.

  6. Evans holdspublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 3 July

    Evans 2-2 Djokovic*

Dan Evans escapes! The Briton wins two points on the bounce, both in style, by coming to the net and intercepting Djokovic's returns with volleyed winners.

    Nice, crisp tennis.

  9. 'Reminds me of Federer and Djokovic matches'published at 13:57 British Summer Time 3 July

    Ryan Harrison
Former American tennis player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

It reminds me a lot of the old Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic matches when Federer would slice a lot.

Dan Evans is digging in with the slice as well today.

He is hanging in well here.

  10. Break point savedpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Evans 1-2 Djokovic

Djokovic messes up his return. Deuce.

  11. Break point Djokovicpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Evans 1-2 Djokovic

Oh dear. Evans comes into the net but gets his sliced volley all wrong and winces as he watches the ball drop wide.

    Third time's a charm?

  12. Break point savedpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Evans 1-2 Djokovic

Another long rally where Djokovic looks on top, but once again the Serb puts too much into a forehand and goes long.

  13. Postpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Andreeva 6-1 2-3 Bronzetti

    Mirra Andreeva is everywhere.

The teenager is really putting the pressure on Lucia Bronzetti, making her play an extra shot as she sprints across the baseline but Bronzetti puts the ball away at the net well.

The Italian manages to hold to 30 and we remain on serve in this second set.

  14. Break point Djokovicpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 3 July

But we're at the same spot again after Evans pumps a forehand long.

  15. Break point savedpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 3 July

That'll do nicely for Dan. Evans pumps his fist after sticking in a rally until Djokovic errors.

"Gaarrgh" - Evans shakes his head after sliding a forehand wide.

  17. Postpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Evans 1-2 Djokovic

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC Two

I like Dan Evans using the sliced backhand but you can't use it all the time and Novak Djokovic took advantage to put pressure on the Evans serve.

  18. 'Djokovic doesn’t look his age at all'published at 13:52 British Summer Time 3 July

    David Law
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

Djokovic doesn’t look his age at all in tennis terms. This is his 20th year on tour.

I saw him at the Aussie Open when he lost in the first round but he showed a bit of talent, then here we are 20 years down the line and he is one of the greatest of all time.

  19. Deuce on Evans' servepublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Evans 1-2 Djokovic

Oh wow. Novak works the angle before thundering a cross-court forehand winner. 30-30.

A first half-chance on serve. Evans aces the next point but Djokovic soon forces deuce with a forehand winner down the line.

  20. 'How good his serve is gets a little lost'published at 13:48 British Summer Time 3 July

    Ryan Harrison
Former American tennis player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

Djokovic is such a good returner that how good his serve is gets a little lost in that conversation.
