    *Draper 4-6 3-6 6-1 2-3 Cilic

Jack Draper isn't best pleased that a ball he thought was wide is called in for a Marin Cilic ace. The technology shows the serve was a couple of millimetres in.

Draper takes Cilic to deuce but Cilic holds from there.

You can consider the Centre Court crowd’s interest in this one officially piqued following Aleksandar Vukic’s lively start, which took him to that break point in Jannik Sinner’s second service game.

But the buzz of excited chatter around the arena at the change of ends had barely faded before Sinner made his way to three break points of his own.

Despite great fight from the underdog, Sinner was never going to let Vukic escape there.

It was not the silky smooth start most expected from the world number one, but he’s warming up nicely now.

The seemingly never-ending match on court 12 has finally come to an end.

And it sees ANOTHER seed fall early.

This time, 23rd seed Machac is the one to exit at the hands of world 192 August Holmgren in a four-and-a-half-hour five setter.

Nice, easy game for Sinner who holds to love thanks to a forehand winner down the line.

We remain on serve in set four. This is an absolute monster task for Jack Draper, make no mistake.

He knows even if he gets through he's got a tough draw ahead. Five sets was never going to be ideal.

  6. Sinner breakspublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Sinner 3-1 Vukic

But Sinner does eventually get the break, by hitting a forehand winner and then delivering a backhand right on to the line which Vukic can only slice into the net.

  7. 'We are seeing a little bit of a lift in Cilic'published at 19:02 British Summer Time 3 July

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC One

We are seeing a little bit of a lift in Marin Cilic. In the last couple of service games, he has been back on the levels he was in sets one and two.

Jack Draper is going to have to match him and stay with him for a while now.

However, it has been a long time since Cilic has been in this type of environment over five sets.

  8. Draper holdspublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 3 July

    Draper 4-6 3-6 6-1 2-2 Cilic*

An awkward looking moment as Jack Draper slips while advancing to the net. He's up quickly though and smiling to the crowd, before holding serve to level the fourth set.

  9. Break points savedpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 3 July

    Sinner 2-1 Vukic*

Top stuff from Vukic who saves three break point on the trot. The last save is particularly lovely, a volleyed winner at the net.

    Sinner 2-1 Vukic*

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

I would say at the moment that grass is Jannik Sinner's least favourite surface but he wants to prove that he can win this thing.

Sinner rarely ever beats himself. He puts you on the defence. His timing is great, he slides into the baseline the way that Novak Djokovic does.

  11. Break points Sinnerpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 3 July

    Sinner 2-1 Vukic*

Oh wow. Jannik Sinner hits a brutal forehand winner down the line on the slide.

A fantastic way to move to 0-40 and bring up three break points.

Draper has never come from two sets down to win a match in five sets. There is a first time for everything.

Marin Cilic produces another easy service hold, wrapped up with an ace.

  13. Sinner holdspublished at 18:56 British Summer Time 3 July

    Sinner 2-1 Vukic*

From a break point down Jannik Sinner holds. He gets dragged into two rallies but each time Vukic finds the net.

  15. Break point savedpublished at 18:54 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Sinner 1-1 Vukic

Sinner didn't face a single break point in the first round. He saves this one though with a demon 139mph serve.

  16. 'He has to keep thinking about taking small steps'published at 18:53 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Draper 4-6 3-6 6-1 0-1 Cilic

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC One

    What a good set.

Jack Draper is thinking clearly, he has a good mindset, but most importantly he has got the momentum. He needs to really keep riding that, which is going to be hard to do because Marin Cilic might rise.

He has to keep thinking about taking small steps. He has to go and get rid of the scoreline and just keep chipping away, just as he did in that set.

  17. Break point Vukicpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Sinner 1-1 Vukic

Ah, Aleksandar Vukic lets an opportunity slip at 15-30 as he comes to the net but inexplicably slices wide.

But Vukic shakes it off and wellies a backhand down the line next rally to bring up the match's first break point.

    *Draper 4-6 3-6 6-1 0-1 Cilic

Into set four we go, Marin Cilic serving first.

    A routine hold.

  19. Vukic holdspublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Sinner 1-1 Vukic

Decent start from Aleksandar Vukic, too, who holds to 30 with a volley at the net.

  20. 'Draper's team looking a lot more buoyant'published at 18:48 British Summer Time 3 July

    Draper 4-6 3-6 6-1 0-0 Cilic*

    Annabel Croft

Jack Draper’s team are looking a lot more buoyant. They are looking a lot less uncomfortable. James Trotman up on his feet and encouraging.
