Taylor Fritz breaks serve again to seal a spot in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2025, winning six games in a row to get the job done.

Just the four sets needed for the American this time, after two five-set matches in the first two rounds - although this was another match that lasted more than three hours. That extra work might take its toll further down the line.

His next opponent is likely to be unseeded Australian Jordan Thompson, who is currently two sets to love up against Luciano Darderi on court 18.

A few more spectators wearing Brazil shirts arrived at the change of ends, and it coincides with a first prolonged chant of Joao Fonseca’s name.

A man in front of me had been using his Brazil flag as sun protection in recent games, but that’s off now.

The crowd are beginning to really get behind the 18-year-old, sensing he’s in a bit of trouble, and the chair umpire has to remind everyone to keep quiet.

With so many seeds having fallen already, we currently have a few third round matches with some more unexpected names in them.

Over on court two, world number 142 - and conqueror of eighth seed Holge Rune - Nicolas Jarry is in action against teenage sensation from Brazil Joao Fonseca.

It is the Chilean who leads the way there by a set and a break.

Poland's Kamil Majchrzak, who defeated Matteo Berrettini in the opening round, is also leading by a set and break against France's Arthur Rinderknech.

It was the Frenchman that took out world number three Alexander Zverev in round one.

On court 18, Australia's Jordan Thompson is two sets to the good against Italian Luciano Darderi.

Elsewhere, 17th seed Karen Khachanov is in the early stages of his match against Portugal's Nuno Borges on court three, where it is currently on serve and heading for a tie-break.

I am not sure about this game plan from Norrie. It is good to use the slice on grass, but that shot from him was so slow.

Norrie is feeling the tension now; he is not leaving himself enough space around the ball.

  11. Jarry holdspublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 4 July

    Jarry 6-3 3-1 Fonseca*

Ah, that's tough on Joao Fonseca.

Cameron Norrie's backhand is such a beautiful shot.

When pace comes at you - and it does these days - his backswing is so quick and so short that he can stand with the best of them and redirect the pace right back at them.

It is so technically sound and he makes it look easy.

Mattia Bellucci gets a hold to love to stay in the set but for how much longer?

Taylor Fritz has stepped up his level a few notches in the fourth set and last year's US Open runner-up now has a double break for a 4-1 lead.

A fairly forlorn look on Alejandro Davidovich Fokina's face as he returns to his seat and takes a swig of water.

This one might be over pretty soon.

    "Norrie, Norrie, Norrie"..."Oi, Oi,Oi!"

That's the chant from the crowd as Norrie steps up to the baseline with a chance at sealing this set.

Surprised it's taken that long for that chant to come out actually.
