Suzan Lamens has stepped up really well in the big moments.

She has been very accurate with where she has been placing her shots from the back of the court. She has repeatedly found the corners.

It seems as though her strategy is to keep Katie Boulter on the move, moving from side to side.

    Boulter 4-6 3-2 Lamens*

What a point! Boulter would have been feeling the burn in the legs but her forehand was so good.

Boulter is firing up now, she usually has a slow start but now she is right in it.

Lamens is taking the risk going down the line but it isn't always executed quite right.

    Naomi Cavaday
Former British tennis player on BBC Red Button

Another clean winner from Suzan Lamens.

She just hit it with such ease again. She had a nice and compact swing, she played a nice central ball and she was able to keep it out of reach.

She doesn't hit at an overwhelming pace but the placement is devastating.

    Kartal 6-4 4-6 6-1 Vedder

    Russell Fuller
    Tennis correspondent in the Netherlands

Sonay Kartal admits she was starting to cramp in the latter stages of her match with Eva Vedder. So she realised it was time to step on the gas.

“It was a super physical match, one of the toughest matches I have played in a while. I think I couldn’t have asked for a better debut performance," she told BBC Sport.

"I’m not a player that typically cramps, but the points were long and physical and luckily the way that my body was feeling it forced me to play the way that I needed to.”

    Boulter 4-6 Lamens

    Naomi Cavaday

The aggression from Lamens is evident as she is going after the shots. There were a couple of lets which are not doing Boulter any favours.

Lamens did the damage early in this set getting the early break. The Netherlands will be very happy, it was an excellent set of tennis from them.

Boulter just gave herself a little bit too much work to do.

We have seen a lot of quality in this set from Lamens. She is just stabilising the strike of Boulter at the moment but Boulter is not backing down.

This is a massive hold for Boulter. There is still a lot of work to do but she has got the momentum.
