    Andy Lapthorne has lost the first set in the quarter-finals of the men's quad wheelchair singles event at Wimbledon.

    The 2019 finalist lost the first set 6-2 against Ahmet Kaplan on court 14. However, he is currently 2-0 up in the second set after an early break.

    In the men's wheelchair doubles, British pair Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward are losing 7-5 5-3 in their quarter-final against Zhenxu Ji and Sergei Lysov.

    Mirra Andreeva seemed to be getting to grips with Belinda Bencic's serve towards the end of the first set. Andreeva had two break points at 5-5 and would have had the opportunity to go on and serve for the set.

    As it happened, both were saved and Bencic came through the tie-break.

    Jones is a 27-year-old tennis player from the Wirral, who is ranked 1,513th in the world in the singles and 619th in the doubles.

    But he has one of the most important jobs at the Championships - warming up the stars before the matches.

    Last week he practised with Novak Djokovic, Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz.

    This morning he prepared Mirra Andreeva in the shadow of Centre Court.
