Mirra Andreeva is playing on to Belinda Bencic's strengths. Tactically it's been a very poor match from Andreeva, I don't know what she's thinking.

It's pretty common knowledge of Bencic, she's been around for a while so the players and coaches know her weaknesses, but Andreeva is maybe not able to execute the game plan, hasn't got the game plan or is ignoring the game plan, it's quite a mystery.

Shelton, the 10th seed, has only dropped one set en route to the quarter-finals, overcoming Alex Bolt, Rinky Hijikata, Marton Fucsovics, and Lorenzo Sonego.

The American has previously reached the last four at the US Open (2023) and Australian Open (2025).
