Court three rises to applaud Cam Norrie as he secures his spot in the second round.

We could be set for an all-British clash if Jack Draper comes through the deciding set against Elias Ymer. What an occasion that would be!

  3. Game, set and match - Norriepublished at 21:06 2 July

    Norrie 7-5 7-5 6-3 Diaz Acosta

Cameron Norrie is through to the second round, folks.

It's a break to love and finishes with a beautiful winner down the line.

Honestly, watching this, Norrie has reminded me a bit of my Jack Russell, always alert and on the lookout for problems.

Speaking of Jacks, Norrie will likely play Jack Draper in the next round who stole the British number one crown last month.

    That would be quite something.

  4. Ymer holdspublished at 21:05 2 July

    *Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-2 Ymer

A lovely forehand from Elias Ymer as Jack Draper runs to the net but the Brit just can't reach the ball as it bounces inches away from his racquet.

Ymer finally sees out the game to hold.

We've had three hours and seven minutes of play between these two on Centre Court.

How much longer can Ymer hang in there?

  5. Sixth deucepublished at 21:04 2 July

    *Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer

    Who will blink first?

We are over eight minutes into this game - that's about a third of how long the fifth set has taken in total - and on we go as Elias Ymer has advantage but this time it's Jack Draper who defends and we have a sixth deuce!

  6. Diaz Acosta breakspublished at 21:02 2 July

    Norrie 7-5 7-5 5-3 Diaz Acosta*

Another break. Just when you think Cam Norrie might clinch this, Diaz Acosta comes up with something special.

The light is dramatically fading. The schedulers (and Norrie) will be praying this ends soon.

  7. Fourth deucepublished at 21:01 2 July

    *Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer

    This is tense!

Jack Draper has another opportunity to break.

    Third time lucky?

No. Ymer's serve is something to behold as he fires home an ace for fourth deuce.

  8. Third deucepublished at 21:00 2 July

    *Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer

Elias Ymer gets advantage but Jack Draper runs him the width of the court before hooking a forehand into the corner. Second deuce.

Draper will have another shot at break point as Ymer goes low and into the net.

And we're back to third deuce.

  10. Deucepublished at 20:58 2 July

    *Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer

Another break would put Jack Draper firmly in the driving seat and with the opportunity to serve for the match.

It doesn't start well, though, with Elias Ymer taking a 30-0 lead.

Draper comes back fighting, rattling of three winners in a row and has a chance at break point.

The Brit hooks it long and it's deuce.

  11. Norrie breaks once morepublished at 20:57 2 July

    *Norrie 7-5 7-5 5-2 Diaz Acosta

Diaz Acosta hits into the net and celebrates ecstatically with the crowd.

He will serve for a spot in the second round after a little breather.

  12. Evans v Tabilo suspendedpublished at 20:56 2 July

    Evans 2-6 3-3 Tabilo*

    Emily Salley

Typical! Just as I turn up to see Dan Evan's match against Chile's Alejandro Tabilo, play stops.

The players are deep in discussion with the umpire and a few moments later, it's announced that the match is going to be suspended because of a slippery court.

There's the odd boo from a spectator as they file out of court 12.

Not only do you have to be an endurance runner but you have to be a sprinter. You have to figure out the sweet spots to be able to do both.

It’s tough to execute especially when you get to this point in a fifth set, and expectations are running so high for Draper.

Photos of a sunset never do the sunset any justice, and my photo skills aren't making matters any better.

But trust me, I promise there is a very beautiful skyscape just behind Dan Evan's head on court 12.

  15. 'Ymer feeling it in the legs'published at 20:55 2 July

    Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer*

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Ymer is probably feeling it a bit in the legs and slowing down a bit now.

  16. Draper holdspublished at 20:54 2 July

    Draper 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 4-1 Ymer*

Jack Draper is hitting is stride just when it matters, winning eight of the last nine points to hold and take a really strong grip on this final set.

We saw a drop off from Elias Ymer in the second set, having won the first, and it looks like he's doing the same again.

Brilliant game from Draper. Just what he needed but it is absolutely critical he backs up that break of serve with some big serving.

Sounds like that Cam Norrie fan club may have been at Glastonbury a few days ago as they run through the hits from the headliners.

Let us know if they manage to re-work a Sza song, Charlotte.

  19. Diaz Acosta breakspublished at 20:52 2 July

    Norrie 7-5 7-5 4-2 Diaz Acosta*

Norrie's double break has been reduced to a single break.

He slipped and then lost the game on a double fault.

Maybe that medical time out did Facundo Diaz Acosta some good. Who'd have thought it?

After a medical timeout for Facundo Diaz Acosta, we’re back under way.

The young men in the Cam Norrie fan club gave us a rendition of One Kiss by Dua Lipa but adapted it to ‘One Cam’.
