  1. Game and first set - Rybakinapublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 2 July

    Rybakina 6-3 Ruse*

Elena Rybakina has shrugged off that slow start and after breaking Elena-Gabriela Ruse for the second time, she holds to love to clinch the first set.

The fourth seed from Kazakhstan went through the gears in that set and has been utterly dominant when she gets her first serve in.

She has won 100% of points when she's managed that. You literally can't do any better than that!

Here’s American Ben Shelton making his way to court 18 to finish his match against Mattia Bellucci.

The 14th seed has a lot to do against the world number 148 if he is to book his place in round two.

That was the only match to not be finished yesterday, with Bellucci holding a two sets to one advantage when they resume.

This time last year Marketa Vondrousova had only ever won one match at Wimbledon before.

She's now the defending champion and to prove it, she's added to her many tattoos - getting a small ‘W’ inked on her skin along with the date of last year’s final.

The Czech sixth seed is off to ropey start against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro - conceding the break in the first game with a double fault.

  5. Game and second set - Munarpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 2 July

    Munar 6-4 6-4 Harris

Billy Harris is really up against it now on court 15.

Since the restart, Spain's Jaume Munar has pushed on to claim the decisive break in second set.

Harris did manage to save a break point in his own serve but Munar served it out to leave the Briton with an uphill climb to reach round two.

  6. Jubb broken in third setpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 2 July

    Jubb 6-1 6-3 2-2 Seyboth Wild*

Charlotte will be able to hear British groans as she waits patiently to see Paul Jubb because he's just been broken by the Brazillian.

From 2-0 down in the third set Seyboth Wild has turned it around, despite not moving particularly smoothly.

I’ve got no chance of catching any of the action on court 14 as Paul Jubb closes in on the second round for the first time.

After reaching the semi-finals at the Mallorca Open, Jubb has become a popular figure at SW19.

    Rybakina 4-3 Ruse*

Having got the break, Elena Rybakina gets her nose in front for the first time in the match.

A few hours after announcing he won’t play in the singles, Andy Murray is out on the practice courts.

At the opposite side of the net is older brother Jamie.

This is the pair’s first hit together at Wimbledon as they prepare to play in the men’s doubles later this week.

  11. 'Interested to see how much Ruse is playing above her level'published at 13:40 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Rybakina 3-3 Ruse

    Johanna Konta
Former British number one on BBC TV

The biggest thing will be that Elena Rybakina is just wanting to keep in touch here and just wait. I'm curious to see how much Elena-Gabriela Ruse is playing above her level slightly.

I'm interested to see how long Ruse can sustain this because for now I think she is playing really, really well.

Because Ruse is playing the margins quite fine, it will be interesting to see how long she can maintain consistency for.

  12. Rybakina breaks backpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Rybakina 3-3 Ruse

After two near misses, Elena Rybakina breaks at the third attempt.

Elena-Gabriela Ruse just wasn't able to resist this time with the ball coming back at her with seemingly ever-increasing force.

The Romanian finds the net with a forehand and it's back on serve.

  14. Rybakina holdspublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    Rybakina 2-3 Ruse*

Slightly more pressure on the Elena Rybakina serve this time but the former champion's power comes through.

A ferocious first serve secures the hold and the fourth seed will undoubtedly be trying to get after Elena-Gabriela Ruse's serve in the next game.

Ruse has resisted so far but Rybakina looks to be stepping it up now.

  15. Jubb doing superblypublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 2 July

    Jubb 6-1 6-3 2-0 Seyboth Wild*

We've just had one British winner and could have another soon as Paul Jubb is in control on court 14, two sets up and a break in the third over Brazil's Thiago Seyboth Wild.

Bittersweet, a shame not to see Andy for a final time, conducting the centre Court Crowd, but also somewhat poetic to see him go out alongside his brother. A sporting great and a genuinely wonderful human. He has left his legacy in our house, with our dog being aptly named Murray.

  20. Ruse holdspublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Rybakina 1-3 Ruse

Again Elena-Gabriela Ruse goes up 40-0 in a flash but once more she is unable to wrap up the game quickly.

Elena Rybakina shows excellent touch at the net, going back across the court superbly on her way back to deuce.

The pair then exchange perfectly-placed - and powerful - backhand winners before Ruse produces another to restore her two-game lead.
