    Boulter 7-6 (8-6) 5-4 Maria*

How much more straightforward is it when Katie Boulter gets her first serve in?!

She manages that twice in a row at 30-30 and Tatjana Maria is immediately on the back foot.

For all the German's solid defence, she can't deny Boulter, who lets out a shout after moving to within a game of victory.

Maria will serve to try and extend this match.

    He’s done it!

Brit Jacob Fearnley has won it in straight sets and he’s going to the second round.

There’s a huge chance he’ll be on Centre Court as he will take on seven-time champion Novak Djokovic.

Because that’s not daunting at all!

    Swiatek 6-3 3-3 Kenin*

It's level pegging in the second set with both players giving it their all.

Sofia Kenin isn't giving Iga Swiatek much on her serve and this set could be quite tight.

  5. Maria holdspublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Boulter 7-6 (8-6) 4-4 Maria

Brilliant from Tatjana Maria, just when Katie Boulter might have thought she was on for a break point.

The German is forced back by Boulter's forehand but gets the ball back before charging in to reach a drop shot and send a slice back across court and out of reach of the home favourite.

Game, set and match - Fearnleypublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 2 July

    Fearnley 7-5 6-4 7-6 (14-12) Moro Canas

Jacob Fearnley has held his nerve and is the first British male through to round two.

Alejandro Moro Canas gave it a good go today but just fell short.

Fearnley will play Novak Djokovic next - you'd imagine on one of the show courts.

He won with a deep cross-court winner and is tired, but ecstatic.

    Some good news, at last!

Jack Draper has got a very, very good team around him now, you look at his physicality now and he is so much fitter, stronger, faster and more resilient.

If Jack Draper had any feeling that he might breeze past world number 205 Elias Ymer in this opening round tie, then he needs to readjust that mindset.

Ymer holds to love on his latest service game as the atmosphere on Centre Court just drops a little.

That's better from Draper as he cuts a forehand back across the court with Ymer sprinting the other way to lead 30-0 on serve and he goes on to hold.

  10. Postpublished at 18:09 British Summer Time 2 July

    Boulter 7-6 (8-6) 4-3 Maria*

Katie Boulter is still struggling with her first serve and could really do without a sixth double fault of the match.

Despite those irritations, though, she comes through for another hold, showing great touch with a drop shot.

The British number one is now potentially just two games from the second round.

What a change-up there from Maria. Good serving from the German got herself out of trouble.

  14. Maria holdspublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Boulter 7-6 (8-6) 3-3 Maria

Top serving from Tatjana Maria to keep this second set on serve.

She wallops an ace down the middle and then with Katie Boulter starting to think there might be a chance of a break, Maria changes it up with a second serve out wide for another ace.

    On we go.

It can be tricky to make your way between courts at the best of times, but it's especially hard when there's a crowd stood at a standstill outside the members' dressing room.

But it's understandable when you know who everyone is trying to catch a glimpse of.

It's Novak Djokovic they can see through the slightly ajar door.

  17. 'No easy draw for Draper'published at 18:02 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Draper 1-2 Ymer

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Jack Draper doesn't have an easy draw by any means. He has potentially Cam Norrie in the second round and Alexander Zverev in the third round.

None of those are going to be a gimme for him.

  18. Ymer holdspublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Draper 1-2 Ymer

Jack Draper attempts a shot through his legs... maybe it's not quite time for that as he doesn't pull it off and is eventually broken, putting all that hard work in the first game in the bin.

Elias Ymer holds on his second service game. It's back and forth - 15-15, 15-30, 30-30, 30-40 before the Swede eventually gets over the line.

A double fault at 30-15 makes life that bit more uncomfortable for Katie Boulter, especially when she nets on the next point.

Break point is saved by an ace out wide and Boulter lets out a cry. Back at deuce, Tatjana Maria shows excellent defence and it takes three volleys at the net before Boulter wins the point.

It similar in the next but Boulter again wins the point and the game, clenching her fist in celebration.
