*Djokovic 4-6 6-3 2-1 Basavareddy
Nishesh Basavareddy needed that.
A straightforward hold to love and he's on the board in set three.
*Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-2 Kyrgios
Another mis-hit from Fearnley and the feeling continues to grow inside the arena that this is Kyrgios' chance to gain a foothold.
The Australian will have another break point as Fearnley begins to feel a bit of pressure.
Shevchenko 1-6 5-7 1-5 Alcaraz*
Carlos Alcaraz is running riot on Margaret Court Arena.
The Spaniard has just won four games in a row, with Alexander Shevchenko unable to find a reply, and he is wasting no time trying to see out this match in straight sets.
The third seed is now serving for the match.
Djokovic 4-6 6-3 2-0 Basavareddy*
The complexion of this match has completely changed.
Nishesh Basavareddy looks shattered. Novak Djokovic looks clinical and he takes the hold to 15 as Basavareddy floats one out of court.
*Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-2 Kyrgios
Jacob Fearnley finds a couple of first serves to efficiently work his way out of trouble and quieten the crowd - but only for so long!
Nick Kyrgios shows a glimpse of his old self as he denies Fearnley with a forehand winner, before a missed Fearnley forehand keeps Kyrgios involved at a third deuce.
Huge points for the Briton here.
*Djokovic 4-6 6-3 1-0 Basavareddy
That injury seems to have knocked some of Nishesh Basavareddy's confidence.
Novak Djokovic quickly works himself two break points then the American double-faults to concede the break.
*Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-2 Kyrgios
The double faults are beginning to come a bit too frequently for Jacob Fearnley's liking, but he responds to his latest with a brilliant forehand winner for 15-15. It receives a nod of approval from Nick Kyrgios.
It's something for Kyrgios to build on though - and he does just that!
Huge cheers greet Kyrgios' first break point of the evening.
Djokovic 4-6 6-3 0-0 Basavareddy*
Nishesh Basavareddy has had a bit of treatment between sets and is going to carry on. He gets us under way in the third set.

Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds
That's a shame. What shines and speaks loudly, for me, is the tension that was there with the young American.
He was riding a wave of confidence but a couple of points, such as the two double faults and the missed backhand, shows that confidence is such a commodity. It also increases the tension.
That one break of serve has given Djokovic enough oxygen to go to one set apiece.
*Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-2 Kyrgios
Kyrgios doesn't need to offer the crowd much for them to get right behind their man.
The 29-year-old keeps the points short on serve to stay in touch in the third set.
*Shevchenko 1-6 5-7 1-2 Alcaraz
It's all going as expected in the third set, with both players holding their initial service games.
Carlos Alcaraz has just won the third game of the set 40-0 though, he seems well in his flow now.
Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-1 Kyrgios*
For all the issues Nick Kyrgios is having, Jacob Fearnley is in dreamland.
The 23-year-old Scot, in his second Grand Slam main draw, is two sets and a break up against the Australian, and has shown great focus amid the partisan support for Kyrgios on John Cain Arena.
After a couple of double faults offer the crowd encouragement, Fearnley holds serve to move three games from victory.
Djokovic 4-6 6-3 Basavareddy
We're all square on Rod Laver.
Nishesh Basavareddy is clearly in some bother and asked for the physios to come out even before that set was over.
Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, looks well up for this now.
*Djokovic 4-6 5-3 Basavareddy
Oh no. Nishesh Basavareddy is moving rather gingerly.
The 19-year-old looks to be struggling with his left knee or ankle. Cramp? Or something more serious?
*Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 2-1 Kyrgios
Nick Kyrgios shows fight as he resets to deny Jacob Fearnley - but he concedes another break point with a double fault.
Kyrgios clutches his stomach after missing a routine volley at the net. Fearnley gets the break, and Kyrgios really needs to consider whether he's actually doing himself more harm than good by remaining out on court, you feel.
Shevchenko 1-6 5-7 Alcaraz
Alexander Shevchenko will be kicking himself here as Carlos Alcaraz has just claimed the second set.
It was in the palm of his hands, after going 5-3 up and serving for the match, but the Spaniard has won back-to-back games to come from behind and take it.
Into the third set we go.
*Djokovic 4-6 5-3 Basavareddy
There it is!
A huge roar from Novak Djokovic as he takes the break in the eighth game. He missed a couple of break points earlier in the set but this time there's no mistake from the Serb.
The seventh seed will now serve to level things up.
Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 1-1 Kyrgios*
Groans from the crowd won't do Nick Kyrgios' mood any good as he drops a poor shot into the net to give Jacob Fearnley hope at 40-30.
It's all the encouragement that the Briton needs, a forehand bringing him back to deuce and another well-constructed point sets up break point.
Fearnley 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 1-1 Kyrgios*
Nick Kyrgios unleashes a stream of expletives in the direction of someone in his corner as Jacob Fearnley takes charge of his latest service game.
Still no warning for the Australian - just lots of apologising for the commentators to have to do.
The British world number 92 holds to level the third set.
Djokovic 4-6 4-3 Basavareddy*
Anything you can do, Novak Djokovic can do better. The Serb notches up another hold to love and we're yet to see inroads on either man's serve here.
