  1. Murray happy to get 'quick reply' from Raducanupublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 3 July

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Andy Murray jokes he was pleased that Emma Raducanu did not leave him waiting on an answer when he approached her last night about playing in the mixed doubles together.

And he reveals how 'Murracanu' almost came to fruition at Wimbledon in 2021.

"We’d spoken about it during the Covid year but obviously both of us were doing quite well in the singles and it didn’t happen," he says.

"Last night I messaged her coach and asked if he thought it might be something she’d be up for doing.

"He said it was worth asking, so I did. It was quite late yesterday evening when I sent the message, it would have been after 9pm so I was a bit worried she might have been in bed.

"But I got a quick reply. She said: ‘Yeah, let’s do it’. That was it."

Kartal needs to keep going after Burel’s second serve.

But it is important to get your feet up to the ball. It’s not just about the strike, it is about taking time for your opponent and she need to rush Burel here.

    Alcaraz 5-6 Vukic*

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Aleksandar Vukic has kept his composure in these last 10 minutes or so, better than Carlos Alcaraz.

He is doing his thing and it is working.

To think he could break him twice in a row, Alcaraz is going to have to step it up here if he wants to pull this set out and hope that Vukic feels it.

I didn't think I would be saying that Vukic is serving for the set.

    Alcaraz 5-6 Vukic*

Multiple unforced errors from Carlos Alcaraz have passed the advantage to Aleksandar Vukic.

    *Alcaraz 5-5 Vukic

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

So far, I'm impressed that Aleksandar Vukic seems to believe what he's got could be enough.

Carlos Alcaraz just has to mentally regroup now, he's got the time.

He's let the grip of this set slip away from him, at least temporarily.

  17. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 3 July

Aleksandar Vukic hit a few into the net which gave Alcaraz a hint of a break but again his serving bails him out.

  19. 'Nerves, occasion or lapse in focus for Kartal'published at 15:15 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Kartal 6-3 5-7 0-1 Burel

    Anne Keothavong
Former British number one on BBC TV

There will be an element of frustration for Kartal, when she had the lead. There were plenty of chances but she couldn’t take then.

I don’t know if it was nerves, the occasion or just a lapse in focus.

Right now it will be key for Kartal to have a short-term memory. She is still very much in this match.

  20. Kartal going the distancepublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 3 July

    Kartal 6-3 5-7 0-0 Burel*

    Charlotte Coates
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Clara Burel has upped her level and she takes the second set to force us into a decider here on court three.

Sonay Kartal wasn’t quite performing to the heights of the first set but now is a chance to reset and go again.

The crowd will be with her all the way.
