Gael Monfils gives the thumbs up after Stan Wawrinka ripped a backhand cross-court for a winner. Unbelievable shot.

A man in the crowd shouts “nice backhand, Stan” like he trained him himself.

    Sinner 7-6 (7-3) 4-4 Berrettini*

I hope you're sitting comfortably, folks, because this one looks like it could go on for some time yet.

Jannik Sinner puts an end to this crazy streak of two breaks in row as he holds to 15.

A second tie-break in as many sets is starting to come into view...

No, this match isn’t finished. There was a little disagreement between the two players that was sorted out with good humour and a hug.

It was all looking so good for Matteo Berettini.

But he's left shaking his head and stretching his jaw after allowing Jannik Sinner to break back.

Berrettini is not really finding the mark with his first serve.

Then you are giving Sinner a few more looks on second serve and Sinner is imposing himself.

Well that second set was a bit more straightforward than the first.

After a mammoth opening set with breaks of serve aplenty and a tie-break won by Jasmine Paolini, the Italian seventh seed secured the double break in the second to eventually take victory against Belgian Greet Minnen on Court One.

The French Open finalist is into the third round at Wimbledon for the first time.

  7. Sinner breaks backpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 3 July

    Sinner 7-6 (7-3) 3-4 Berrettini*

Really frustration for Matteo Berrettini as his advantage disappears in a flash.

Jannik Sinner was given a few more looks at second serves and took full advantage.

More unforced errors from Berrettini helped the world number one, too.

We're back on serve in the second set as Berrettini's hard work is undone almost immediately.

Oh no, someone is having a sneezing spree somewhere on Centre Court - just as Matteo Berrettini is stepping up to serve.

It is hay fever season to be fair.

First it’s “come on, Stan” and then it’s “come on, Gael”.

It’s hard to split who has the majority of the crowd support here on court two as we enter a tie-break.

Speaking before this match, Matteo Berrettini said he didn't think Jannik Sinner would be happy to see him in the draw.

I'd say that's probably correct - Berrettini is a former Wimbledon finalist after all.

And now he's a break up in this second set.

Well, I'm sure I'm not the only one who did not see this coming given how this match had gone.

A lapse from Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini claims the first break of the match.

It was rather gifted to him as Sinner finds the net with an attempted drop shot. Berrettini will gratefully accept it.

But there's a collective groan when he misses it.

    Where did this come from?

Matteo Berrettini attacks the second serve from Jannik Sinner and attacks the net.

He gets slightly cramped for room but still manages to put away the backhand volley.

Break point. The first for Berrettini.

Much better for Matteo Berrettini as he races to a quick hold.

That was much more like early in the first set with Jannik Sinner given no encouragement whatsoever.

Stating the obvious I know but getting that first serve in makes a huge difference.

It’s late in the day here at Wimbledon and plenty of people have food on their minds.

Sat to my right on court two are two people with some tasty looking pizza.

    It smells divine.
