The decision was made to close the roof because a shower was imminent and so it proved.

There are umbrellas up on Court One before the roof finally closes.

Thankfully, someone had the foresight to put the cover on during the delay. Roof now closed, the cover is back off and play should resume shortly.

Djokovic was not really tested un the first two rounds. Yes, he dropped that set and had some long rallies, but this is the test for Novak to see how he’s travelling, and if he is going to be in the second week of Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic is certainly not panicking but he has not been as precise as we are used to seeing from him.

Alexei Popyrin is hitting almost exclusively out wide, he is trying to test Djokovic's movement.

That one game by Djokovic was a bit of a surprise. He had been winning his service games like an express train.

I was thinking Popyrin would be the first to have a blip but it was the seven-time champion.

There's a bit of confusion as to what is going on here.

The roof is almost fully closed - they've stopped just short with a gap of a couple of a feet - and the two players have now just been told to go and warm up.

We're told play will resume in just a moment.

Will this extended break work in Novak Djokovic's favour? He's on serve first.

You feel a bit for Caroline Wozniacki after being bageled but it's an incredible set of tennis from Elena Rybakina.

The favourite for the title, perhaps?

Wozniacki needs to do something different and she walks over to her coach for some new tactics.

We've going to have a slight delay for the second set to get under way as the roof is being closed on Centre Court.

There was a slither of sun shining on one corner of the court during that first set and Novak Djokovic looked a little frustrated by it on a couple of occasions.

That's not why the roof is coming across, though. We're told it's because there is "imminent rain".

A quick check on the weather forecast suggests there may be some rain on the way at around 19:30 BST.

    Just brilliant from Elena Rybakina.

She's hitting the ball with depth and is simply overpowering Caroline Wozniacki.
