Ed Balls: Labour 'clear' on 'non-dom' tax status
Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls is denying Conservative claims of "confusion" over non-domicile status, which allows some wealthy UK residents to limit the tax paid on earnings outside the country.
It has emerged that Mr Balls warned three months ago that scrapping the system could cost the country money, if some of those affected moved abroad as a result.
The shadow chancellor has now said that Labour was ''very clear'' about its commitment to abolishing the ''non-dom'' rules.
