PMQs: Reed and Cameron on girl's hospital letter to PM

A letter written by a 10-year-old girl to David Cameron about the West Cumberland Hospital was raised at PMQs.

Her MP Jamie Reed joked that many would feel Maddy Snell's frustration about the response from the prime minister, which she claimed did not answer her question.

Mr Cameron said the government had contributed £70m to the redevelopment of the hospital, and said "that should be enough to provide good maternity services".

The Frizington schoolgirl sent a letter to Downing Street over fears services were being downgraded at the hospital in Whitehaven, asking the PM to "keep our hospital open" and to "write back".
