Welsh tourist hotspots given Chinese names to attract visitors

Popular tourist attractions in Wales have been given new Chinese names in a bid to attract more visitors from the Far East.

VisitBritain has launched the initiative in China to rename Welsh place names to make them easier for visitors to say.

In the campaign the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwll - or to give it the full title: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch - has been renamed as Healthy-lung Village.

Rhossili Bay on the Gower peninsula has been renamed Sunrise Bay.

BBC Radio Wales Ali Fortescue reports.
