    London Midland staff are issuing cautions for passengers found with their feet on seats, smoking e-cigarettes or riding bicycles on railway station platforms.

    The crackdown is in operation on the Birmingham City Line South and is in response to passenger complaints.

    Eight people in the West Midlands have died from stabbings over the past couple of months - three of them at the weekend.

    In July it was announced that knife possession was at a 15-year high in the West Midlands.

    Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Solihull at the weekend have arrested two men aged 20 and an 18 year old on suspicion of murder.

    West Midlands Police said Callum Lees, 20, was stabbed in the neck following a "dispute" at a property in Hopwas Grove, Kingshurst.

    He was found by a passer-by in Haselour Road, Kingshurst, on Sunday at 10:00 and taken to hospital where he died later that day.

    The arrests were made in east Birmingham. A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.

    Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found with a stab wound to the neck in Solihull on Sunday.

    Police officers were shot at in Birmingham last night, the West Midlands force says.

    The shots were aimed at an unmarked police car near St Marks Crescent and Crosby Close in the Ladywood area of Birmingham.

    Nobody was hurt, said police who had been taking part in "an operation to crack down on gun crime". Five people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    It happened this morning shortly after midnight.

    It happened this morning at the junction of Blue Lane West and Wolverhampton Street.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service said it treated three patients, taking one man to hospital with back and neck pain.
