    Kathryn Stanczyszyn
    Political Reporter, BBC WM

Today has been Birmingham City Council's opportunity to defend its position over the on-going bin debacle.

In essence the authority has just repeated its argument that former leader John Clancy had no legal authority to make a deal that guaranteed these bin men their jobs.

Mr Justice Fraser said he will deliver the judgement that determines whether this goes to a full trial tomorrow at 11am. Either way, there will be significant consequences.
