Four more libraries could be taken over by local community groups as Staffordshire County Council looks to offload more of them., external
Out of a total of 43 libraries in the county, just 20 are directly run by the authority and it's started another consultation exercise over the future of the remaining ones.
The council says it's proposing letting community groups take over the four "least busy" sites - Cheadle, Clayton, Eccleshall and Penkridge.
The consultation finishes on 1 April.

It's being reported that Aston Martin is looking to sell shares on the stock market to raise as much as £5bn.
Bloomberg reports that talks , externalhave been held with advisers.
The car company, based in Gaydon, Warwickshire, plans to move into the SUV market and that could bolster interest in a share sale.
The company has reported hefty losses in recent years, but has been successful in raising financing.
Aston Martin is controlled by several big investors, including Italy's InvestIndustrial and two Kuwaiti groups.
Construction company Carillion will reveal a new business plan tomorrow after issuing a series of profit warnings in the last few months.
The Wolverhampton-based group, which used to be part of Tarmac, is one of the government's biggest contractors but has seen its shares fall by 90% since July.
Last week the company said it was being investigated by the Financial Conduct Authority over the "timeliness and content" of its stock market announcements from December 2016 to July last year.

Pressure's mounting on health bosses to switch off Shropshire's out-of-hours GP number, according to the county's clinical commissioning group (CCG).
Nationally, they say there's a move to use the NHS non-emergency care telephone number 111.
Shropshire is one of the few areas to have an alternative through Shropdoc and the county's CCG says they're likely to switch it off by the end of this year.

A woman's been attacked near a cemetery in Newcastle-under-Lyme by a man trying to get hold of her bag.
The 44-year-old victim was on Loomer Road on Sunday, just past the gates to the graveyard, when a man came up and grabbed her coat, police said.
As she turned, he elbowed her in the face and punched her several times, before the woman got away from him.

The worst is yet to come for diesel cars which will see their sales continue to plunge, a study by Aston University has warned.
The report predicts they will account for just 15% of the UK market by 2025, down from a 50% peak.

Burger chain Byron could close up to 20 restaurants, including outlets in Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon, as part of a financial rescue proposal.
Accountancy firm KPMG, which is handling the restructuring, confirmed the plan which would also involve cutting rent payments at other outlets.
Any deal would need approval from Byron's creditors, who will vote on the plan on 31 January.
Byron, which has more than 70 outlets, employs about 1,800 staff across the UK.
