    Harun Jama died from stab wounds to his abdomen, chest and leg following the attack on Wednesday evening.

    Craig Ford, 33, of Luther Street, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court earlier charged with murder, robbery and weapons and drugs offences.

    He's due at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.

    A man is set for his second court appearance after being charged with the murder of a "well-known" Worcester woman.

    Julie Fox, 51, was discovered dead in her Carnforth Drive home on 27 December. A post-mortem examination found she died of a head injury.

    Adrian Jenkins, 43, of Carnforth Drive, was charged on Friday evening and appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody.

    He is due to appear at the city's crown court on Tuesday.

    Park operator Merlin was fined £5m in 2016 after a crash on the Smiler ride in which 16 people were hurt, including two teenage girls who needed leg amputations.

    Alton Towers says the £16m Wicker Man project has gone through "rigorous testing" along with "hundreds of training hours" for operators.

    Police investigating a stabbing outside a nightclub in Walsall wish to trace eight men in connection with the incident.

    It’s understood a number of people were thrown out of UNIT on Bradford Place prior to the stabbing which happened two days before Christmas.

    A 20 year-old man was wounded but his injuries are not said to be life-threatening.

    A new centre for leukaemia patients opens today at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

    The Centre for Clinical Haematology has undergone a "transformative" expansion to give patients better access to lifesaving treatments, says the NHS trust running the site.

    The £3.4m unit has been funded in part by charitable donations.

    A statue of the Stoke-on-Trent-born author Arnold Bennett appears to have been vandalised over the weekend.

    What looks to be red paint has been splattered across the lap and legs of the bronze sculpture, which was unveiled last May by the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery., external

    Bennett, who was born in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, was one of the best-selling authors of the early 20th Century with works such as Anna of the Five Towns and The Pretty Lady.

    Staffordshire Police and the city council say they are investigating.
