    Three men who forced a 14 year old girl from Coventry into prostitution and "plied her with drugs" have been jailed after being found guilty of child sexual exploitation offences.

    Jake Cairns, 21, was jailed for eight years at Birmingham Crown Court today.

    Jack McNally, 21 and 20-year-old Brandon Sharples both received five year prison sentences, with all three handed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.

    Eighteen people have been charged with drugs offences following early morning raids across parts of the North West yesterday.

    More than 200 police officers were involved in the operation across Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales.

    The suspects have been charged with offences relating to the supply of Class A and B drugs.

    All 18 have been remanded in police custody and are due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court later.

    Worcestershire's Moeen Ali has kept his place in the England test side for the tour of New Zealand in March.

    The police cordon has been removed from the scene of a light aircraft crash in Worcestershire.

    Two men, aged 52 and 24, died near Overbury on Monday afternoon.

    The two victims have yet to be formally identified, but the wreckage has been removed so it can be checked by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.

    The owner of a care home in Shropshire has submitted plans to have it demolished.

    Roden Hall near Telford houses around 50 people, and there is planning permission in place to build a new care home next to the existing Victorian building.

    Rotherwood Property Holdings originally said it wanted to refurbish the existing care home, but now thinks it would be too expensive.

    Worcester Warriors wing Josh Adams has won the Premiership player of the month award for December.

    Adams is the leading try-scorer in the division with nine this season.

    A panel of judges placed him ahead of the Wasps duo Danny Cipriani and Dan Robson, and Exeter Chiefs’ Don Armand.

    A man has been charged with the murder of Reagan Asbury, who died after a brawl at a boxing match in Walsall.

    Tyrone Andrew, 21, from Derby, was flown from Madrid to Heathrow yesterday after being held in Barcelona on a European Arrest Warrant.

    He's been charged with the murder of the 19-year-old and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court later today.

    Reagan Asbury, from Pelsall, was attacked at a boxing event at Walsall Town Hall which spilled onto the street on 14 October, 2017.

    An exhibition dedicated to the England and Manchester United legend Duncan Edwards has opened in Dudley.

    Edwards was one of the eight players who died in the Munich air disaster in 1958.

    At the age of 18 he became England's youngest post-war debutant.

    Part of Dudley's new museum is closed because of a water leak, but the Duncan Edwards exhibition on the same site is open as planned.

    Curator of the exhibition, Jim Cadman, said it's been put together with the help of Duncan's family and "celebrates the life" of the player.

    A motorcyclist was left seriously injured after he was hit by a vehicle that failed to stop, police say.

    Officers are trying to trace the driver of a BMW Estate "with distinctive roof bars and ladders" after the crash on Redditch Road, Kings Norton, on Tuesday 9 January.

    The vehicle was displaying false number plates, police said.

    The 41-year-old motorcyclist remains in hospital in a serious condition.

    The Government says it has a contingency plan in the event of the collapse of Wolverhampton-based Carillion.

    The firm's share price rose by 8.39% after the construction group held crisis talks with creditors and investors yesterday.

    It's of the government's biggest contractors and has issued a series of profit warnings in recent months.

    Speaking in the Commons, Cabinet Office parliamentary secretary Oliver Dowden said the Government has planned for all eventualities.

    A man has been arrested, and weapons seized, after police surrounded a flat in Stoke-on-Trent for much of yesterday.

    Armed officers and negotiators were called to Ruxley Road in Bucknall after a woman was reported to have been assaulted.

    She was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital suffering leg and face injuries.
