    A man's been punched and kicked by two men, external who demanded money from him.

    The pair, who West Mercia Police say were thought to have a knife, made the attempted robbery on Lyttleton Avenue, Bromsgrove.

    The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered minor injuries which needed hospital treatment. The men left empty handed.

    A male rhea has been killed and a female bird stolen from a farm in Warwickshire.

    Fourteen chicks have also been taken recently from Avon Dassett, said Warwickshire Police.

    It's appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

    Rheas are large flightless birds similar to an emu or ostrich.

    Neighbours near a planned new industrial estate say they're worried it'll cause more pollution and noise with extra lorries using the site.

    A developer wants to build 32 units on land off Salwarpe Road, Droitwich, with a turning area planned for visiting HGVs.

    A consultation on the proposal's running until 18 July but several residents are already objecting, saying they fear the extra lorries will make the air quality worse and be noisy.

    The plans, external say the noise impact would be low and the extra amount of traffic would be "modest".

    Four people remain in hospital in a critical condition after a car crashed with a taxi in Coventry, police say.

    The two men and two women, in their 20s, were in a VW Polo GTI which crashed with the black cab in Spon End on Sunday morning.

    A 47-year-old taxi driver suffered injuries which are not life-changing, said West Midlands Police.

    Det Sgt Paul Hughes said: "We are trying to piece together what happened in the lead up to this collision as our enquiries continue."

    The force is asking for any witnesses to come forward.

    Keys to a Maserati were stolen from a property in Leamington Spa before it was driven into a number of parked cars.

    The blue Maserati Levante were taken from a property on Sherbourne Place during the early hours of Saturday.

    After crashing the car the suspect was then seen to run off from the vehicle, said Warwickshire Police.

    The force is asking for any witnesses to come forward.
