    Warwickshire players Nathan Foy (pictured left) and Mohomed Khatri (pictured right), alongside Justin Hollingworth and Mark Turnham have been selected for England's visually impaired squad for the upcoming World Cup in India.

    England will kick off their competition on 31 January against Pakistan in Delhi.

    Sky Blues manager Russell Slade will be forced into several changes for tonight's Checkatrade Trophy tie against Brighton under-23s at the Ricoh Area.

    Captain Jordan Willis is still injured, fellow central defender Jordan Turnbull is suspended while recent signings Nathan Clarke and Kevin Foley are cup tied, having already played in the competition for their previous clubs.

  3. M1 body 'run over by several vehicles'published at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    A body, believed to be that of a man, found on the M1 appears to have been "travelled over by several vehicles", Northamptonshire Police say.

    Police were first alerted to the body between junctions 16 and 17 northbound, just after 02:00.

    Sgt Tony Hopkins said: "We need to find out where the person came from and why they were on the M1. We are trying to work out what happened."

    He said they shut the whole carriageway to allow them to put up screens so other motorist would not see the "incredibly unpleasant" scene.

    They were closed for a police investigation following the discovery of a body early this morning.

    The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has agreed to meet a nurse from Coventry who says her teenage daughter is not getting the right medical treatment. 

    Sarah Hardy, who's worked in the NHS for more than 20 years, says her daughter has not been given any mental health assessment despite waiting for six months. 

    She's written to her MP Geoffrey Robinson, who represents Coventry North West, who read out her letter in Parliament.

    A reminder about the illegality of fly-posting has been issued after 50 laminated signs appeared in Warwick over the weekend.

    The printing company which made the posters purporting to be from scorned lover "Linda" said, external the signs are genuine and not a publicity stunt.

    Warwickshire County council said they're "hopeful that this is a one-off incident" and reminded residents anyone convicted will be "liable to a fine".

  9. 'Business as usual' for Vivarail as train project pulledpublished at 10:12 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    Vivarail said the full findings of an investigation into the cause of a fire, which has led to the cancellation of their project, should be ready with the month.

    The West Midlands Combined Authority said there "was no longer enough time" to evaluate the trial before the next local rail franchise starts in October.

  12. M1 diversion routes 'likely to be busy'published at 08:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2017

    Traffic is being diverted away from the M1 northbound closure between J16 (Daventry) and J18 A5 (Rugby) because of a police incident.

    The diversion route is via the A45 to Weedon, A5 north to Rugby, and A428 back to the M1.

    Highways England said all routes were likely to very busy and there's already congestion in the area.

    The northbound M1 between junction 16 for Daventry and junction 18 for Rugby is likely to be shut for most of the day after a body was found in the road. 

    Diversions are in place and Northamptonshire Police are investigating.
