    Coventry City fans are being asked to stage a sit-in at the club's next home game as a protest against owners Sisu.

    They take on Fleetwood at the Ricoh this weekend, with Coventry four points adrift at the bottom of League One. 

    David Johnson, from the Fighting the Jimmy Hill Way group, says he wants fans to back the team but demonstrate against the owners.

    Fans have been asked to stop whistling protests at games in the wake of claims that a crowd whistle triggered Bolton's late equaliser in last month's 2-2 draw at the Ricoh Arena.

    Speedway's governing body says unless the Coventry Bees' future at Brandon is solved by Friday, they could be stopped from racing this season.

    The BSPA says despite continuing issues at the Brandon stadium it won't extend its deadline.

    The club were hoping to continue racing after the stadium's sale.

    However, a lease is yet to be finalised.

    The Bees owner Mick Horton says he's confident problems over the use of the site can be resolved in time to meet the deadline.

    A private exams company in Coventry says it has seen an increase in the number of people paying privately to take tests.

    It says the number of people paying to sit GCSEs and A-levels outside of the school system rose from 40 in 2013 to 700 in 2016.

    Chris Spraggett, from Tutors and Exams, says it is taking on more overseas students as well as home-schooled pupils.

    An ejection seat firm has appeared in court for an alleged breach of health and safety law over the death of a Red Arrows pilot in 2011.

    Flt Lt Sean Cunningham, 35, from Coventry was injured after being ejected from a Hawk T1 jet while on the ground at RAF Scampton.

    The parachute on the ejector seat did not deploy and the South African-born airman died in hospital.

    The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) brought the prosecution against Martin-Baker Aircraft Ltd.

    No plea was entered during the 10-minute hearing before magistrates.

    Coventry City have warned fans the club could face sanctions from the FA if supporters blow whistles during games.

    In a statement on the club website they say the FA has written to them saying they'll continue to monitor the behaviour of supporters. 

    The protest group The Jimmy Hill Way had already urged fans not to use whistles during matches after suggestions a Sky Blues player was distracted during the home game against Bolton just before the away team scored.

    Reports that a fox was killed by a pack of hounds are being investigated by police, the Warwickshire force says.

    The West Midlands Hunt Saboteurs group has released images - one of which is below - of an animal it says was attacked by dogs from the Atherstone Hunt near the village of Shuttington on Saturday.

    Anti-hunt campaigner Cathy Scott said she witnessed on Saturday a fox "trying to dart into a garden, but the gates were closed so it had nowhere to go", then dogs "just started tearing it up".

    Atherstone Hunt has been contacted for comment.

    Police have confirmed that a man who was struck by a bus in Coventry last Wednesday has died. 

    They say the man in his 20s died in hospital on Saturday after the collision on Foleshill Road.
