Whatever you're doing, have a good weekend.
Holidaymakers returning from foreign shores are being reminded to check luggage for illegal stowaways - of the reptile kind.
One Warwick family recently found a lizard creeping out of a suitcase after a holiday in Greece, with another gecko found clinging on to hand luggage during a journey from Turkey to Hereford.
As the reptiles are not native to the UK, the RSPCA is reminding travellers it's an offence to release them or allow them to escape into the wild.
Quote MessageIt’s so important to thoroughly check and recheck luggage including clothes, shoes, towels and bags before leaving holiday destinations."

The team behind Coventry's bid to bring the coveted title to the city, The Coventry City of Culture Trust, have delivered a 30-page document to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
It includes a wide-reaching programme that would ensure that the whole of the city gets the opportunity to experience and enjoy a wide range of cultural events, say bid organisers.
Coventry is up against Paisley, Stoke-on-Trent, Sunderland and Swansea for the title - the decision will be made in December.

Figures showing that Warwickshire had the largest percentage rise in stolen vehicles in the country were misleading because the data the county's police supplied were "incomplete", according to the force.
Vehicle thefts have risen nationally by 30% in the last three years following a decade of decline, according to figures from the RAC, based on a Freedom of Information (FOI) to forces across the country.
Warwickshire Police say after they reviewed the data, external they had released as part of the FOI request they found it didn't have all the data for 2013, making the percentage rise in car thefts to 2016 seem larger than it actually was.
Quote MessageDue to the way the data was transferred over to a new system in 2014 we unable to use this new system to say how many car thefts there were in 2013."

Vehicles designed in Warwickshire, which are mean to protect British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, are overheating, soldiers say.
The Leamington Spa-made Foxhounds, first deployed in 2012, were designed to safeguard soldiers from IED blasts and operate in hot conditions.
An Army sergeant in Iraq, responsible for maintaining a fleet of seven Foxhounds, told the BBC the vehicle was "a massive waste of money".
The Ministry of Defence said Foxhound had dealt with "demanding conditions in Iraq" and was "keeping soldiers safe".
