  1. Police name man killed in city centre stabbing

    A man who died after being stabbed in Nottingham has been named by police as 28-year-old Lee Daniel Roy Cooper.

    It happened on Union Road on Saturday 14 September.

    His family said Lee was "taken too soon" and that he will be "greatly missed by everyone".

    Three people have been arrested in connection with his murder and have been released from custody while a police investigation continues.

  2. Couple search for replacement holiday

    Flights from East Midlands Airport to Mallorca, Menorca, Zakinthos and Corfu have been cancelled after the holiday company Thomas Cook went into liquidation.

    Its collapse also means four flights due to return to the East Midlands today have been cancelled.

    Karl Burns from Ollerton was due to be on the flight to Zakinthos this afternoon with his partner for a two-week all-inclusive holiday.

    He told the BBC: "We had an idea last night that it wasn't looking good - we're now hoping to get something else booked for later today."
