This weekend is the last time visitors to Witley Court in Worcestershire can see the historic Perseus and Andromeda fountain in action before the start of major refurbishment work.
The Victorian fountain has 120 jets hidden among sculptures of shells, sea nymphs, dolphins and a huge serpent, and was designed by James Forsyth and built in Portland Stone.
English Heritage says restoration work should finish by April next year.
The Grade I listed Witley Court has been a ruin since a fire in 1937.
A warning about the dangers of swimming in open water has been issued by the fire service as temperatures look set to soar to 25C (77F).
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is warning that even the strongest swimmers can find themselves in difficulty, as the cold water causes muscles to cramp.

A working party looking at finding a site for a new stadium for Worcester City has held "another constructive meeting", the council says.
The club has been without a home in the city since it sold its St George's Lane site for housing in 2013.
The club played at Aggborough, the home of Kidderminster Harriers, and is now ground sharing with Bromsgrove Sporting.
The meeting was attended by Colin Layland, vice chairman of Worcester City Football Club, and Mark Newell of the club’s Supporters Trust.
There will no longer be inpatient children's beds at Alexandra Hospital in Redditch from 7 September, the trust running Worcestershire's hospitals has announced.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust says that due to "a lack of specialist doctors" the children's ward at the site will be closed and the doctors and nurses will move to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
A hospice nurse caring for a Star Wars fan has launched a Facebook campaign, external to help him see the new film before its December release.
Neil Hanvey, a patient at Herefordshire's St Michael's Hospice, may not live until Christmas, but nurse Amy Duncan and his family and friends are hoping he can see an advance screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Last year, Lucasfilm granted a similar wish for a cancer patient in America.
Ms Duncan told BBC Hereford and Worcester the appeal had so far had 1,300 re-posts.

Former council offices in Hereford could be sold to a housing association for £2m.
Herefordshire Housing is hoping to redevelop the site in Bath Street, which was once the site of the working boys home and, more recently, the registry office.
The site was considered as the home of the new city fire station and Hereford University, but the schemes didn't go ahead due to planning constraints.
Three long-serving Kidderminster magistrates have retired, external from the courts after years of dedicated public service.
Two lorries are still on fire on the A449 northern link road in Worcester - more than four hours after they collided.
The crash happened near Junction 6 of the M5 at 11:30, but the road is still closed in both directions as three fire crews tackle the blaze - made worse by one of the lorries carrying wood chips.

One driver has been taken to Worcestershire Royal with chest injuries, but the other driver was unhurt.
Two more people have been arrested as part of an animal cruelty investigation, police say.
West Mercia Police said today a 53-year-old woman from Abergavenny was arrested on 5 August and a 45-year-old man from Powys was arrested on 12 August.
A 27-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, both from Hereford, were arrested on 28 May. A 37-year-old man from Abergavenny, was arrested on 2 June.
All five have been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and bailed until the end of September, police say.
Five search warrants were executed at properties in Herefordshire and Abergavenny this morning and five other people will be "voluntarily interviewed as part of the investigation", a spokesman added.
Work could start next year to turn the remains of a medieval castle into a tourist attraction, external.
