    Across the UK the total fell by 52,000 to 1.64 million - in the West Midlands it increased by 18,000 to 173,000, external compared with January to March. 

    The only other region to see unemployment rise was London where it rose by 7,000 people.

    A driver who helped rescue a man from the cab of a blazing lorry says he didn't think about his own safety.

    "You don't think do you? You just get on and do it," says Andy Grimes, who was driving a lorry behind the two which crashed and burst into flames.

    He helped the driver of the lorry which initially burst into flames, who had already begin to try to get out of his cab.

    The injured driver was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

    In the Southern League Premier Division, Redditch United went down 3-1 at home to Kettering Town.

    A final decision on eight of the 32 centres the county council will be made next month. 

    The council says the changes will allow it to target those who need help most, though some parents say services have already been cut.

    Jamie Thompson from Cradley was diagnosed with the incurable disease in 2014, aged only 44.
