    Hereford FC, external manager Pete Beadle says he's hoping to further add to his squad in the coming week or so. 

    Westfields' striker Jamie Molyneux became the latest player to join the Edgar Street squad when he signed on Tuesday and Beadle says they're eyeing up another target.

    There have been more reported sightings of a big cat in Worcestershire, this time in Upton-upon-Severn. 

    West Mercia Police, external said it had been handed footage which was claimed to show evidence of a big cat and had received three reports of sightings of a leopard-like creature in the area. 

    Peter Webb, a former mayor of Upton, hasn't seen the creature himself but says that did not mean others were not right.

    A 1,000-year-old church in Herefordshire is to receive an estimated £1.3m of lottery money to ensure its survival.

    St James, external church in Wigmore has played host to many kings and queens over the centuries, but last year its future was looking uncertain until a group of villagers got together to try to find ways to keep it open. 

    The Wigmore Centre Community Interest Company has now received £170,000 to start installing state-of-the-art facilities.

    You can nominate until 23 October and the winner will be announced at BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

    Last year, 92-year-old Alec Davies from Worcester St John's cycling club was named the West Midlands Unsung Hero.

    Horse racing's reigning champion jockey, Richard Johnson, has welcomed the return of jump racing to Hereford Racecourse, where he rode his first winner.

    Thousands are expected to be at the site today for the first meeting in four years - the course closed after a dispute between ARC Racing and Herefordshire Council over its future.

    Four meetings are scheduled for this season and Richard Johnson says it has "got great memories for me".

    Police are hunting a man who escaped HMP Hewell last Thursday.

    Wayne Madlen, 45, has been serving a prison sentence for burglary and theft and is known to have links to Bilston, Wolverhampton and the West Midlands region.

    He is described as 5'11" to 6" tall, with hazel-coloured eyes, a bald head and a distinctive tattoo of a black panther on his right bicep. 

  18. Cause of Worcester death remains unknownpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 5 October 2016

    The police say they still don't know what caused the death of a man in Worcester.

    The body of 48-year-old David Jones was found at a property on Tolladine Road in the early hours of Monday and a post-mortem examination has been unable to determine what happened.

    Det Ch Insp Ian Wall, who is leading the investigation, added that at this time no further action will be taken against a 46-year-old woman who was originally arrested on suspicion of murder.
